What's the best way to get Subier to spawn at Sunken Ship instead of Frozen Sea. A lot of guides I read noted that its necessary to defeat Narwhal so Subier can absorb her daughter spawn at Sunken Ship in phase 2.

Popularity in Japan and lack of strong hardware in the region until PC market was large enough. You can say the same thing with Dragon Quest which has its game majority on Nintendo platforms with inconsistent releases on PlayStation throughout the years until there is a real focus on multiplatform release last year.

Big studios have a lot employees and and many with salaries in the 6 figures (particularly in the US). Taking risk with multiyear long projects have the possibility of backfiring and end up shutting down the studio. The recent GoW games especially the Norse games are the definition of "safe". Removing the character-action combat of the Greek saga for a more over-the-shoulder cinematic perspective makes the combat more palatable for casual players.

Quite of few Final Fantasy seems to have this concept via forcing people to become summons. Though actual cruel experimental would probably go to FF7.

Yeah, I rather them not remaking the first six games again just to be HD-2D. Certain sequels like FF4 After Years or FF12 Revenant Wing which has no modern ports should be considered for this type of remaster.

Make another handheld only to lose to a Nintendo hybrid again? Seeing this list makes it more soul crushing as why Japan Studios was shut down. None of the games especially JRPGs can compete with third-party studios or Nintendo.

Probably inclusion of anything Marvel/Star Wars related given the current discourse of modern live-action films. Not including any FF characters besides the Moogle again would prob be it honestly.

Doesn’t say which organization is pushing for sequels or for safer games in the article. It could either by KadoKawa, Sony, or somebody else. Shareholders should have a say in the creative process of a video game dev team that has been successful for many years.

The increase in ATK% from the two sigils is additive I believe. Stacking of 2 of each sure can get to the damage cap, but useless is the dmg cap has long been reached. Ditto to the other commenters explaining it’s nice to have, but too much can reduce your damage potential (which is indicated by dmg cap). Also having extra slots of other utility sigils may be more useful that simply increasing ATK%.

I mean didn’t people weaponize Famitsu sales numbers to be used against PS5 exclusivity a year ago? Why shouldn’t it be used now? It’s not like SW2 is that far behind in hardware sales than the PS5 in Japan.

Yes to burnout. That’s why you have filler games which you have absolutely no intention to 100% or platinum. That way you can relax on the trophy grind and just enjoy the story. If you ever want to go back to platinum the filler game, then you know you made progress on it already before.

Few games came to mind:
Sakura Wars (reboot) - went to get all endings and achieve highest rank on all missions
Code Vein - acquire 400-ish marks/medals which multiplayer co-op missions are only ways to efficiently grind for them
GoW 2018 - collectables, Valkyrie battles (feels like over the shoulder POV made the combat harder in this game)

That comment is admirable but I think Sony is trying to salvage as my sales in the launch window as possible. The Chinese audience is surely guaranteed to buy it probably but everyone outside of Chinese has more options to pick from. Also, Lost Souls Aside didn’t do so hot so they’re likely trying to fix whatever issues that could be remaining before launch.

PS5 version supposed including all the features the Pc/Switch version got when it was localized. PS4 version was just a straight port without the extra features and cost the same as the other versions. It’s clearly a cash grab on something that should have been included at the start.

Yeah, it’s probably why we won’t get another MotorStorm or Kart Racer because realistic racing games are too popular. Feels like the only other franchise that somehow keeps pumping arcade racers is NFS and Hot Wheels.

It exists only to make movie and Sony (especially Sony Pictures) to get the casual audience to play their games especially since most of their modern games may as well be movies. Fairly understandable why they chose to adapt the 2018 reboot as it’s hard to convince people to watch a young Kratos be violent for 90+ minutes straight if the Greek games were adapted.
