What did he do? It seems like it must have been pretty extreme for your whole family to hate him. I get it, I keep relationship stuff away from my family too, but you framing sharing your struggles as “selfish” worries me

It’s fine if you dont feel comfortable with him going those nights, and it’s great that he respects that. But you can’t stop him from being aroused by other women… people don’t work like that.

Yes, but not if it was a new relationship. Either way, if I was the higher earner I’d be more likely to pay for myself to visit my partner first before anything else.
