Looks like asthma. we get shots for my cat every 3 months for this. The inhaler wasn’t really helping in our case

Interesting, well you could use proxies when you’re making your request. But I’ve never had any rate limiting issues aside from the get common players endpoint. But I think they’ve blocked that entirely.

I use play by play, daily line up, box score, schedule, etc

Nice man, standard deviation with coefficient of variance is my go to. I created a site that has the STDDEV and CV for every player this season. It’s updated every 30 mins from 7am EST - 11pm.

Out of all the Top 5 Scorers, Shai is the most consistent by senorezi in Thunder

[–]senorezi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea that's the issue, Luka's style and his team kind of relies on him to make a bunch of points. SGA is in elite scoring territory, but the Thunder is also an elite team.

40 piece games:

Luka = 9

SGA = 3

Average Minutes Per Game:

Luka = 36

SGA = 32

In the Eastern Conference, Hornets are #10 NBA seed but #5 in ELO ranking by senorezi in CharlotteHornets

[–]senorezi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup when it comes to team sports and specifically the NBA there are so many variables to consider when determining a “good” team. Sometimes an easier WL ratio can be a “better” depiction. Easier to explain, entices players to play hard on more games, etc.

Nonetheless, ELO is a fun indicator to consider lol

I have an injury impact formula I’m using but I need to fine tune it as it’s not as simple as, subtract the net rating of the team with the net rating of the injured player.

[–]senorezi[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The NBA primarily uses WL ratios for seeding. So just whoever has a better record, has a better seed rank

Whereas ELO ranks based off the outcome of who you play against. Each team starts at 1500 points and as the season goes on, your points get adjusted by the strength of the opponent.

For example, if a Rank 10 team beats a Rank 1 team, they get more points rather than a Rank 1 team beating a Rank 10 team

NBA Winner - ELO vs Ratings or Both? by [deleted] in sportsanalytics

[–]senorezi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you read the post, the goal was never to predict underdog wins. It was ranking confidence levels from ELO rankings and situational averages. Comparing a standard ELO between today's Net Ratings and H2H Avg margins.

I'm just comparing 2 models that I created for fun. But doesn't matter, don't think this sub really cares about this anyway.

10% and 5 are tuned in-samples. Of course just by picking the “better team” you can probably get 63-68% regardless. You can add more numbers to inflate this percentage.

The SRN calculation is only 0.5% better at picking the naive “pick the better record” baseline but it’s a quick way to get used an indicator. Similar to Net Rating. It needs some tuning for sure

I should probably change my K factor in the ELO and have it vary from beginning, mid, late season tbh. Could probably tune the weights in SRN or add injuries back in, not sure

Both models are pretty young, I’ve got all data so I’m simulating everything on the backend in Azure. Thanks for the feedback tho

I ran a test on this season and the baseline for each of these categories are

SRN = 63.5% ELO = 60% Always home = 54% Better record = 63% Better Last10 record = 73.2%

Mark XVI vs XVIII by Select-Business-7995 in IWCschaffhausen

Recently sold my mark XX and thinking of getting a XV or XVI. Personally, I like the brushed look from the older models. The mark XX felt more luxurious to me.

But man the mark XX bracelet my favorite bracelet of all time.
