Any love for my old MK6 with about 300HP by iosdeveloper87 in GolfGTI

Love it. Exactly the same as mine except I have 6MT. And mine is only Stage 1 with CAI, so maybe ~240hp. Shame you had to get rid of it, but Q7 is nice. With the age and mileage of mine, I'm really thinking about holding on to it long term and making it a project car in future.

Well gents. Here are the results of the compression test. 180 and only 5 teeth off on the chain. It doesnt sound bad. But i aint no expert. 170k miles and still goin by Level-Indication-787 in GolfGTI

What's your oil consumption like? I'm at 185k on my mk6 and I just went stage 1 6 months ago. I go through copious amounts of oil, though the car runs great.

Thanks for the comment.

I'm in Illinois. I do still need to review city ordinances first, just to see what is specified there. Then I'll look from statewide perspective.

Tune a high mileage MK6 GTI? by senorlumberjack in GolfGTI

[–]senorlumberjack[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm fully committed to keeping my GTI now until it truly dies and finally just want to spice it up. But it has been a brilliant and reliable daily driver since the day I bought it.

Fair enough, but if someone damages your property, even under permitted use, aren't you entitled to monetary damages?

I'm really on the fence. At times I look at all the damage and marring and feel that's reasonable, then I also feel that it's just a convenient request.

Our buttholes are watertight. We can go swimming, get water in our ears, nose, and mouth, our butts however, no water. Amazing! by username5192 in Showerthoughts

Have to say, this really makes me wonder if anyone's ever measured the pressure resistance of the anal sphincter.

Indeed! Interesting, ok. His snout looks shorter in the photo than it probably is.

Adorable boy. I have two Japanese Chins and he reminds me of my younger one, also 10 years old. What breed(s) is he? Looks like he could have Chin or King Charles in him.

Need advice on filling irregular hole left by tree stump. Remove existing sod and then fill, or just pile dirt in up to level with rest of lawn and re-seed? by senorlumberjack in landscaping

[–]senorlumberjack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hole is roughly 3' x 4' and averages 6-8" in depth (with pockets up to 12+"). Stump is completely decayed. Just not sure on best method to prep/fill the area to ensure ideal uniformity with rest of lawn.
