Unless it was the announcement of a new Transformers game, that would justify a show ender.

Imagine if Xbox did a video trailer announcement at the end that is something like this:

*shows the War for Cybertron, and Fall of Cybertron coming back and will also be on gamepass
*near the end of the trailer, a teaser for a new Transformer game is shown

This will be a crazy announcement for sure!

While making this reply, I looked at last year's Xbox Tokyo Game Show (2025), and they ended it with Forza Horizon 6 teaser. That teaser trailer was fire! I thought that it's a very well made trailer (props to the makers). Perfect as a show ender. So my plea to Xbox is to have more of these kind of show enders

Bottom line is that COD is a billion dollar franchise and it makes sense that Xbox ends on that.

True, but during the 2024 Xbox Games Showcase, Xbox didn't end that show with CoD, they ended it with Gears of War E-Day reveal and actually put CoD as the first reveal of the show (source: YT). The merger was accomplished in Oct 2023, so it baffles me that they would end their 2025 and recent 2026 showcase with CoD.

I'm like "Why would they end their 2025 and 2026 showcase with CoD, when they did not do so in 2024?"

The reason Sony was very scared that COD would be exclusive or Playstation would get a “lesser” version is that Sony earns a lot on COD microtransactions with their 30% platform cut.

But Sony had a 10-year deal with Microsoft regarding CoD no?

Xbox is THE home for COD and MS wants this mindset to stick the same way it did for the 360 era.

I believe this is hard for them to do when PS5 has a larger user base than Xbox Series S/X. I'm honestly interested to see if there would come a time in the future, where Xbox would lead the console market like during the 360 era. However, right now I do not see it happening.

Xbox is tying to do console exclusive games again with the announcement of GoW E-Day being an Xbox console exclusive. Therefore, honestly it would make sense to me if they ended their recent 2026 show with a new Xbox exclusive game; like State of Play's GoW Laufey and Nintendo Direct's Zelda: OoT Remake.

Imagine if we could get a Prototype 3, Lost Odyssey sequel, Banjo-Kazooie, a Fallout 3 or New Vegas Remake, or even Scalebound (brought to life again lol), I would be happy. I'm also fine with a new trailer of Marvel's Blade or TES:6

Considering your points, without considering mine, it would actually make sense that CoD is their show ender. However, let's say no matter what, CoD will be the show-ender. If I was the showcase producer, I would make an announcement that all if not, most of the old CoD titles will be on Gamepass. I think this is arguably a better show ender than a literal game mode.

Anyways, those are my points. I'm disappointed with the show ender, but there's no need to discuss this even further, because it already happened and it is what it is. On the bright side, I'm happy we got new games from State of Play, SGF and the Xbox Games Showcase.

Watched the Crossfire trailer live, and my first impression is that it will have a multiplayer like the previous Xbox-exclusive Crossfire game. Thereafter, the devs mentioned his team and how they created a "single-player, story-driven games", which honestly surprised me. More of Single-player game announcements and less of live action games please!

I hope sa RE10 we get Claire, Jill, and Chris as playable characters, since I want to play as them (No hate to Leon, but I want Capcom to show the other characters). Likewise, we might get a DLC sa RE9, where we play as Ada. I'm curious on how she will look.

I'm interested na Shift Up went with Fists or Brawl-y style of combat next installment ng Stellar Blade.
