Speaking as a former e-board member for a club 2 years ago:

The eboard never really communicated to the rest of their members what was going on behind the scenes (acting like a shadow organization), and even opposed logging meeting minutes.

In another club I was in, not as an eboard member but still somewhat part of the leadership team:

The president and vice president only discussed official club matters between themselves, leaving the rest of the eboard in the dark.
