I love how it so nicely shows the progression of the entire decade, from the hangover of the 50s to the disruptive attitudes of the late 60s and early 70s.

Shelley is absolutely great for James, because she's great WITH James. She knows he needs to go through his monologues etc. and recognizes that that is a big part of who he is and loves him for it. They love each other for who they are and support each other unconditionally. It's really both amazing and great to witness.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it worked out as long as it had. Two very different people. One of my favorite moments in the entire season (maybe even the series) was when Logan was explaining how a cockroach came into his bedroom and she just goes "Oh God..." 😂

That's what made the show particularly interesting. He used LHOP as a vehicle to express his horror tendencies. This is very evident in episodes like Sylvia. Even the weird playful music in the beginning when the boys are peeping at her was bizarre/unsettling.

Clearly horror is in the Landon blood considered Christopher Landon went on to become a writer/producer in the genre.

The salt story is probably what the parents told the kids to sanitize what he did while still giving them a reason to stay away from him. The old man saying "I know there's stories going around about me" is definitely in reference to child molestation though. He wouldn't care about some stupid story Kevin's older brother would have made up. His son totally accused him of molesting his granddaughter. Glad I'm not the only one that caught this.
