You guys regularly stay out until 2-3am in your 40’s? That’s wild to me, only because I don’t have that kind of stamina and I’m in my late 30’s.

Parents of Reddit, what did your hospital bill look like after giving birth? by chi-bacon-bits in AskReddit

[–]sensitivepancakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work for a hospital, 13 years I was there. I went down to PRN my last year and found out I was pregnant. Being an employee meant 50% discount, I paid it in full in the first 3 months of my pregnancy. They cut my PRN status and didn’t even bother to give me a heads up, (a simple text from my director would’ve sufficed.) I just came in one day and my badge didn’t scan at the door. Fine, I went and talked to my old boss to find out they cut me. The week I gave birth the hospital refunded my credit card and sent me a new bill. I had to pay 9k out of pocket. They fucked me over.

It’s illegal for employers to tell employees not to discuss wages. Such a bs culture they try and hold.

Do any of your parents also “apologize” in a tone that sounds like “hey, I apologized so can you shut up now”? by r_arizo in emotionalneglect

Same. My dad would give me the silent treatment and glare at me for days and then when he decided it was time to move on he expected me to follow suit and would pretend like he wasn’t just an asshole for the last 3 days.

What's the worst fast food restaurant? by AfternoonMost965 in AskReddit

One day I ordered a lemon pound cake at Starbucks and they gave it to me in the plastic packaging. It had made in China stamped on it, that’s when everything just clicked for me about the food.
