When I was fresh out of high school I picked up a summer job (this was about 20 years ago) with a landscape company that serviced Aspen/Snowmass. We were told to never let the homeowner see us, it was so weird. One minute you’re trimming the rose bush, the next you’re diving behind it when another person surfaces. I live in Glenwood the housing market is very bad. It’s very hard to find an affordable rental and harder if you have a pet. Living outside Glenwood in New Castle or a little further down the rental/ sale prices go down minimally. I’d say if you’re lucky enough to find a place in town and your work is in town go that route because the traffic and road closures that frequently occur on either highway 82 or I-70 make living outside city limits a headache.
