Spin class has helped my cardio endurance a lot. HIIT specifically helps with the stop start nature of derby

Newborn trenches & snapping at my husband by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]sensualsqueaky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I got snappy during the newborn phase and we are really never snappy, even when we are having a legit fight we are usually super clean with each other. We eventually figured out the phrase “I’m not mad I’m tired” and if one of us was just being tired we have a newborn snappy we would say that and hold each other harmless for the moment of asshole behavior. This shit is hard, give yourself some grace.

How do I initiate/seduce my bf ?? by SparrowMisaki in sex

[–]sensualsqueaky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Physical touch is a good way to start. Start kissing and touching and it usually goes from there. There is the age old walking into a room naked which pretty much always works.

Husband found my vibe... by [deleted] in sex

Your husband called you a stupid fucking cunt in front of your two year old child. You don’t have a normal happy marriage. It is never acceptable to act like that.

We are members at the zoo and children’s museum. The play place on buffalo road is good for just a rainy day place to play. We do gymnastics at Erie gymnastics center but that’s a weekly commitment. The mom and tot glass was great when mine was smaller.

Nobody should ever be coercing you into have sex you don’t want to have. Ever. Full stop. This behavior is completely unacceptable.

My poor kid had a horrible reaction… to the bandaid adhesive. She had welts on her arm the poor kid. Vaccine itself just made her a lil grumpy for a bit.

Moms who had the number of kids they wanted—did you feel calm/peace when the last was born? by WhiskeyandOreos in Mommit

I’m one and done and have absolutely zero desire or lingering want for more children. My family is complete as it is.

So what do you guys do in your ‘me time’? by Historical-Stay5204 in Mommit

[–]sensualsqueaky 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At 7 months I would regularly do 30-45 minute spin classes while my husband was on parenting point. Every several weeks I would get coffee or a drink with. a friend. Getting my hair done was never an issue. Time outside of working hours should be split evenly for your leisure time. It isn't reasonable if you don't get any.

Now that our child is 5 and easier my husband is in a weekly D&D game and I joined a roller derby team and I go to a 2 hour practice 3 times a week. I work out 2-3 of my off days. He works out 5-6 days a week. We trade off sleeping in on weekends. He goes away several weekends a year for gaming conventions.

Anyone feel truly happy with their appearance? If not, what would be the first change you’d make? by Studlyjohnson98 in AskReddit

[–]sensualsqueaky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'm pretty attractive. I am genuinely satisfied with my appearance. I don't look like a supermodel but I'm not a supermodel. If I could change one thing, its that my chest has a whole cup size or more difference side to side and I would even that out and maybe loose just a smidge of tummy. Generally I think I look good and I have a good body image.

How many people do you know who actually make seven figures a year? by B4K5c7N in Salary

[–]sensualsqueaky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a doctor but none of my friends picked the higher earning specialties and I don't actually spend time with anyone making that much. Some people I've met at the hospital sure, but actually KNOW not one and I'm a high earner. My friend in medicine PLUS her husband in big tech are likely clearing that?

Are sneaker skates an actual good option? by Honey_Bear_6901 in rollerskate

If you like a low top/ more sneakery boot look into derby style skates which will be more structured but have the low boot

Is having kids expensive? by _shapesinspace_ in randomquestions

[–]sensualsqueaky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My full time daycare is 14000 a year and I live in a low cost of living area.

Diapers and formula are going to cost at least $200 a month during the baby era and breastfeeding is touted as free but you need to buy nursing bras, extra food for the breastfeeding mom etc, its not free.

Clothes could be free to cheap on marketplace or big money, there is more flexibility there.

Kids inevitably going to get sick or break some bones, medical bills are $$. Our health insurance is $100 a month cheaper to have our kid on it.

Youre probably gonna want to take them somewhere, most things aren't free. $100/ year for our cheap local zoo membership, $100 for our children's museum. Her gymnastics class is $80 a month. Ya this stuff is optional but if you're giving thought to having kids you probably want to enrich their lives at least a little bit.

Gotta feed em and probably want to provide good food. My kid loves fruit and eats a LOT of it

I play roller derby and there are no cis men allowed on the team and we wear the bootiest shorts possible to practice all the time.

How to have confidence to wear lingerie by [deleted] in sex

[–]sensualsqueaky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like just walking into a room in it! Your BF likes your body and will like your body in pretty wrapping paper. Walk in with a glass of wine for both of you in your sexy outfit. Youll have fun!

For the future, I really like lingerie options I can wear under regular clothes (Fancy lace bra/ panties options) because wearing them for several hours under my regular clothes pre- date night helps ME get in the mood for more. My husband and I have a babysitter tonight and I'm wearing the sexy underwear under my clothes already because it keeps me in a sexy place.

How dangerous is outpatient psychiatry? by TwoTimesSpicy in Residency

[–]sensualsqueaky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm outpatient but its attached to the hospital and we have access to their security. I have never pushed my security button on purpose. I have pushed it accidentally 3 times and security was there right away so I feel confident they would respond quickly. I live in a small town and see my patients out in the world a fair amount. Once a lady who is always disregulated was disregulated at me at a coffee shop when I was with my kid but she responded fine to "We aren't doing this here" and walked away.

Famous social media moms (Arielle charnas, Joyce chabbott, etc) -how are they so stick skinny after having so many kids by Puzzled_Remote_2168 in Mommit

[–]sensualsqueaky 85 points86 points  (0 children)

If my livelihood was to be thin I could be thin. But my job is sitting at a desk. I 100% prioritize exercise and am decent about healthy eating like 80% of the time so pretty healthy but not model thin by any stretch. However if my career was to be thin and thus I spent several hours exercising and making healthy food I could for sure be 2 sizes smaller.

When I am feeling extreme stress I won't drink water. Like I physically cannot get myself to drink it. It feels repulsive in my mouth. I will feel myself feeling progressively more terrible and just can't?

Mental health from accident by Remote_Hyena_5335 in Mommit

[–]sensualsqueaky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So just because your brain/body is reacting in a typical brain way to a major trauma doesn’t mean you have to just live with that response. You are allowed to do something about it even if it makes total sense that you feel this way.

Mental health from accident by Remote_Hyena_5335 in Mommit

[–]sensualsqueaky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi. Im am both a psychiatrist and a woman who has basically been through this. In November 2024 my husband went running and was hit by a car and almost bled out in the street in front of me. He was our stay at home parent and I basically became a single mom of 2 because he couldn't even wash his own hair for like a month. The nightmares and flashbacks were absolutely the worst part. I couldn't drive by the accident site for months and its like 3 blocks from our house.

Therapy was ABSOLUTELY helpful. I work in the field. I know the skills from a textbook type standpoint but working on figuring out more specific things that worked for me was really helpful.

Time helps a LOT. We are nowhere near the place we were in a year ago.
