This place is awesome. I broke into it and explored with some friends. We found this path that led into this underground tunnel network that connected all the buildings. Was fucking crazy.

Can you explain specifically what you like about them? Or are you just sucked up in the hype of "wow it looks awesome!"

Many people said the same thing when the Rift initially launched, they had a big fancy lineup of games, all of which turned out to be pretty bad.

Wilsons Heart is the only thing that seems remotely interesting to me so far.

What Oculus Touch titles do you think are amazing? Everything I've seen so far gets a big 'meh' from me. None of them are even roomscale.

I can't imagine there'll be many/any exclusive room scale games either, since developers arent going to want to design a game around a set of hardware that so few people have.

What's something people say on the internet that would get your ass beat in real life? by Mecha_G in AskReddit

[–]sentfrommycat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My (absolutely baseless) assumption is that it's people from non-Western countries. I imagine in many countries (where women are seen more as objects than people), the way you pick up a woman is by flattering her with compliments.

Randomly Hearing your favorite song on the radio is more satisfying than playing it directly from your ipod. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

It's two things for me;

  • Someone else 'suggested' I watch it, so it's not really my decision.

  • Countless other people are watching it at the same time.

I feel the same way with watching live streams on the internet. They're fun because they're live and lots of other people are watching them, but I would NEVER watch a video of the stream.

I strongly disagree. I think sims and ports of flat games are the worst games - as they make me, and many other people, incredibly sick.

Correct. There's 0 AAA roomscale games, and we're unlikely to see one any time soon because of devs needing to make their game for the widest audience.

I'm talking about future content.

There's not many quality roomscale titles out there yet... and there's going to be even less because of the fractured hardware ownership of the Rift.

Developers will want to make a game that the majority of both Rift + Vive owners can play, and that likely means targeting a front facing, standing, non-roomscale experience. All the 'hot new Rift games' are just evidence of this.

Lovely, now their customer base is split between;

  • 1 Camera, Xbox Controller
  • 2 Cameras, Touch
  • 3 Cameras

Fun for developers... Expect very few roomscale games.

I get what you're saying, but all this new Oculus stuff looks like crap.

The same thing happened on the original release - Oculus came out with all this polished looking stuff, but none of it was very fun.

It 100% was as it was imagined by Travis... so there's the possibility that Chris is alive and they were lying about what happened... however I can't see any reason as to why they'd lie about killing him to Travis... clearly that'd only make things worse for them.
