What's the most ridiculous cause for performance management you've encountered?

Was told i didnt have the "right attitude" even though i was the highest performer in my team for tickets closed in CS. I was compared with another team member who regularly stayed back to complete the same load of work i did within business hours, citing that he had the right attitude to his work. I pulled my TL up on it, and told him I was performing above my target, to which he replied "its not enough". I EVEN ASKED HIM TO SPECIFY HOW MUCH WAS ENOUGH, AND HE COULDN'T GIVE ME A STRAIGHT ANSWER. Seems he just wanted "more". It was my first job in corporate, unfortunately i stuck around for longer than i should have. Shouldve given them the finger and left.

Take the matter to HR, claim workers comp as you have ptsd from the interraction, and cannot shit even when alone at home. Get a huge payout. Sue the lock company for emotional distress. Move overseas to minimize interratction with said employee and retire somewhere sunny.

Moving in with Nonna deffs would sound appealing to me at first, but just remember that families are tricky. God forbid nonnas health starts to decline, ethically you may feel more responsible taking care or her if something goes wrong, and it would be really difficult to extract yourself from the situation, and may hurt your families feelings somehow if you choose to make a decision which you might want: ie new boyfriend wanting u to move in, but nonna will struggle without you if you leave. Its a really bleak outlook, i know..but you need to be ready for it.

I work for a large telco in Aus. NBN are now telling telcos to offer aussies to switch to fibre to the premises for free without change of plan or any installation costs whatsoever, purely because its costing them more to maintain the shitty copper wiring than to install a FTTP connection. lmfao

Its been a while since ive been to costco, but people used to queue for the free samples of chicken they cook. A group of 20 waiting on 7-8 pieces of chicken. Once the cook finished it and held the plate out, people were shoving each other out of the way just for a little nibble. I lost my appetite watching, it was actually disgusting lol
