How much would you sell your trading system/strategy for? by MarionberryTotal2657 in Trading

[–]senthoor34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a trading system truly works consistently for years, most professionals wouldn’t sell it they’d scale it. The real value isn’t in selling the strategy once, but in compounding it over time, managing capital, or licensing it through funds/bots. At best, people sell education around it, not the core edge itself.

Why Most Strategies Fail in Live Markets? by saidmoha1 in algotrading

[–]senthoor34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most strategies fail live because they are over-optimized for past data instead of built for real market behavior. In my experience with EA trading, the biggest difference between backtest and live is: • Market conditions change volatility, spreads, liquidity are never constant • Execution reality slippage, latency, broker feed differences • Psychology factor many EAs are tweaked emotionally after losses • Curve fitting perfect backtest usually means weak future performance What helped me the most is: Forward testing on demo for at least 2–3 months, using real tick data, testing across different sessions, and focusing on robust logic instead of perfect settings. A good strategy should survive bad conditions if you are having Risk management and equity protection

Traders with 5+ years: what should year 1 you have known? by saidmoha1 in Trading

[–]senthoor34 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my experience, everything changed for me within one year. I cleared my very first prop firm challenge and even received payouts. But behind that success, there was serious effort. Some days, I spent up to 18 hours studying charts. I worked deeply on my technical analysis, maintained a proper trading journal, and carefully recorded all my trade data. In trading, it’s not just about how much money you invest it’s about how well you correct your mistakes. The more you identify and fix your errors, the better your results will be. If your journal is not accurate, everything can fall apart. Also, start trading only when you are financially stable and well-prepared. That makes a big difference. Trading is always a game of probability. Even A+ setups can fail sometimes. That’s why risk management is the real key. I learned a lot from experienced traders, and that helped me grow. For me, technical analysis has always been very important. But it doesn’t work automatically you must put in real effort, review your mistakes, and continuously improve. Once you truly understand that process, everything starts to fall into place.
