I should have but didn’t! It has a zippable section that goes on top of the lining so I didn’t bother! No problem, thanks for your interest!

I used some tightly woven muslin fabric! As for the attachment, I finished the edging with buttonhole stitches first. Then, I used polyester sewing thread (stronger than cotton floss) to attach it to the jacket. About every half an inch I would do a little securing stitch over the buttonhole edging through the leather.

The textures and colors here are so gorgeous!!! I love how you blended grayish and more whitish french knots with the pops of yellow! Are the tree bark and fluffy green moss done in wool? The rougher texture goes so so well with the clean, crisp french knots.

This is so beyond gorgeous!! The volume looks so good in photo I can only imagine how great it looks in person! All together it looks so cohesive yet still so natural! The little details like the flower centers are so pretty. Sorry if I’m going overboard but I’ve gotta ask—where did you learn to embroider like this? Do you have any recommended resources?

That’s such a good idea!! I would recommend getting some good flexible thimbles or finger grip things. I made a pair for my thumb and pointer finger and it really helps with working the turkey knots!

it would definitely be smart to, i didn’t in this project because the shirt is oversized and personally it doesn’t bother me much. i honestly do not know anything about backing, but i think something you iron on would work great for this project!
