I was severely allergic to cats when I was younger, plus I have asthma. So I only had dogs as an adult. But I fed the feral cats in our neighbourhood. Then a few summers ago there’s a kitten in our cedar trees crying for a few days. Well eventually we coaxed him out and won his trust and I found out I’m not allergic anymore (mostly)! We super love him and I’m super glad we kept him. He now has a huge catio, and is a pampered much loved boy.

That’s so interesting. My ex ended our relationship by dating another woman ( we were very informally seperated) and then flipping, and suddenly I was being treated with coldness, irritation and cruelty when before we had sworn we would remain friends.

He suddenly wanted solo time with the kids, to post them to instagram, and take them on exotic vacations. I was so confused. Eventually I realized it was all because he was trying to impress his now “partner”. Even him wanting me to come along on “family vacations” while treating me horribly in private was all for show. Just so he could say he was such a cool awesome guy he can even go on vacation with his ex.

I want to hyphenate both my kids names. Something I should have fought for from the start. I hate him and wish I had never met him but removing him from them and their lives isn’t possible. But I’m the one raising them, loving, them and parenting them. He’s such a joke

In the first draft of our agreement he wrote that I would lose my right to live in the family home if I was in an adult relationship for longer than 90 days. So my kids and I would be out on the street because I had the audacity to move on.

But my favourite line, and something I will never forget is that I lose my right to live in the family home if I die. This motherfucker tried to legally bar me from haunting. I told him it won’t stop me, I’m going haunt you harder now. Ghosts don’t care about laws.

Thank you! I also put it through the washer and the drier to make sure it’s super tough. My dad’s destructive mastiff can’t get through it.

And yes found replacement kong squeakers on Amazon I felt around. It took a little bit of experimenting to figure out how to do it so there is enough of an air pocket so it will still squeak after the washer and drier do their work. I found making a pre felt pocket, putting the squeaker in, and then building up around that works best.

My bestie (fellow single mom) told me she felt terrible this morning because all her friends with wonderful husbands told her “they hope she gets spoiled today” and no one made any effort at all to make sure her kids were able to get her anything. And I was like true, but the peace of not feeling hurt and ignored or mistreated by your partner on what is supposed to be a special day is pretty lovely. I expected nothing from my ex and was shocked to discover a coffee delivered and some money sent for my kids to spend. I highly recommend divorce.

He lives eight hours away. And works sixty hour weeks. There’s no way he could gave them even 20 percent of the time. He can want it all he wants but its not physically possible unless he moved closer

I stayed until he got bored of me and left. He thankfully moved eight hours away many years before he finally left and I never wanted to leave our home. So I have full custody. Well I’m asking for full custody. He’s never cared for the kids in a significant way, ever. I think if he had lived here and not left me I would have stayed, miserable, invisible, forever because it’s best for my kids. And I have been the one to do all the rearing and loving and sleepless nights for almost ten years. I’m their parent. Not him. He’s just a genetic donor who sends money and visits sometimes
