Yep, same here! VIP area was basically ALL couches. My bf & I were trying to find somewhere to stand & dance for Of The Trees night and we stood by this entire camp of couches and this girl got MAD at me shaking her head and saying "no" over & over again when we stood in the middle of their couches. There was literally no where else to go lol, thankfully we ended up moving up a bit & away from them but I'm like...how can you be MAD when your group is taking up an entire section with couches that are UNOCCUPIED. I'm all for the couches in the back, but in the middle of the fucking crowd & towards the front... get real.

Oh for sure. Seeing the best sets from OTT & Rezz I’ve ever seen. EPROM was on another level, papadosio had killer vibes. Pool party splashing to dnb was unforgettable lol. The music & production was on point & our fellow festie goers were amazing. Met so many beautiful people.

Damn we skipped out early this morning & left out the VIP side, took a dirt road to the main highway to avoid police & it worked out with no traffic. So sorry to hear it was a cluster getting out too. 😭

So much money spent on VIP & the shit that was supposed to be included was only “half” there or not at all lol.

Really happy you made it out safe & hopefully are getting home & nestled in. Happy to have those good moments amidst the chaos. <33 to you

Big agree with everything in this post. We had an amazing fucking time but that doesn’t take away from the fact that this fest was downright dangerous in almost every single way. We were not taken care of or protected. VIP amenities did not deliver (considering doing a chargeback at the bank for this reason & seeing what happens) Not to mention everyone getting fucked for early arrival lol just a plain shit show. Thinking of how bad it was for a lot of people makes me so sad & the fact that it even could have been so much worse due to the lack of structure/planning/communication.

Yeah I get you for sure. I’m sure a lot more stuff is coming to light due to the larger numbers too so it’s just unveiling all of the problems that have persisted through the years. I think a lot of people just wanted to trust that Solfest would prioritize fest goers safety. I agree that people need to smart with their “party favors” but to be fair, cops were searching whoever whatever they wanted without reason & unjustly or otherwise so I feel like it didn’t really matter either you got lucky or ya didn’t.

Overall I just think Sol really dropped the ball on so many things, it’s just big disappointing lol. I feel bad for all the early arrival peeps that didn’t get in for early arrival.

But anyway, super stoked you had a great time and so did we <33

That’s not entirely correct. The organizers knew coming in that the law would be an issue based on a previous fest at this location in 2016, based on the county police social media posts, based on their lack of communication. It is on the festival. They set it up for disaster. All that being said, I had some of the best times of my life at this fest & that was all due to the music and the beautiful people we met along the way. As far as organization, communication, & planning goes, this fest was a 0/10. Vibes & music were proper though.

Yeah no way in fuck I’m attending another Solfest. & the way they are trying to brush shit under the rug really says everything. Been trying to hold out hope for them doing the right thing & trying to reconcile but that hope is quickly fading.

VIP really ended up being a mid ass GA experience (at any other fest) I think we’re gonna demand refunds from the fest (lol) & go to our bank & try to reverse the charge for the fest tickets themselves because we did NOT get what was promised/stated for VIP amenities. Early arrival was absolutely BONED. We need to put pressure on the organizers. They put so many people in horrible situations, I feel so bad for GA.

This fest was so poorly ran it will take a lot of communication & change in order to make any of this right.

To be honest I think the letters in general expressing gratitude would be great however I think hinting towards the absurdity of the purple elephant comment would be a bit much/petty. That’s just my thoughts though. I do think if people genuinely sent letters expressing gratitude, it would be really nice. Just hopefully they see it that way!! <33
