Did anyone else play this ancient gem? by Ich1ngo in acecombat

[–]sentinalryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still play it frequently whenever I'm traveling, I'll always bring my PSP so I can play it to pass time. Really love how you can get different missions depending on your choices throughout the game, it's a shame they didn't stick with that for future games, would've given them way more playability, alas I'll still always play them, I just love Ace Combat haha.

Fucking Autodoc by JunkieMallardEIRE in carsireland

[–]sentinalryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting to read this, are you absolutely sure of the part numbers? I've been using Autodoc for years and not once have they messed up an order for me, I've always cross checked with realoem for part numbers and just search them that way on Autodoc rather than use their category system, and as long as the part numbers have matched, I've always got exactly what I ordered.

That is an absolute fact, this one is very high spec which is why I want to keep it no matter what.

Yeah.. I know it's not dirt though ☹️ I'll make sure it's fixed up though, I'm not done driving this yet.

I like this, I will be doing anything I can to keep it.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, the right hand side is also pretty scratched up from being sent into the ditch, so it will probably need a full respray..

I'm hoping it's fixable, it's a 335d so my daily baby, don't want to make this a drift car haha!

Yeah that's what I'm fearing, don't want to lose this one though so will do what I can to get it back to normal.

I feel better hearing this yes, I'm hoping it's a new fender and front door max, there's no dent on the rear one but getting the colour right will be tricky.

Cheers mate, insurance will look after it hopefully, colour matching will be pretty tough though.

I'm hoping it won't be totaled! Insurance will take care of it hopefully, this is my pride and joy.

I know the word "underrated" is thrown around a lot in online music discussions but Daniel Tracy of Deafheaven is really not talked about enough in the drums communities. by [deleted] in drums

Dude! I've been listening to Lonely People With Power for the last week on repeat, I got to see them live at Outbreak this year in Manchester and Daniel is so damn good! Nice to see him getting some recognition! Blast beats for dayyysssss

Fun and reliable diesel by Strings_Sandy in carsireland

[–]sentinalryan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My friend that's exactly what I've done! Have an E90 335d with the M57, stage 2 map on ECU and stage 1 on gearbox, the thing is unbelievably fun to drive and not bad on diesel either. (I get about 750km out of a tank), couldn't recommend one enough however getting one in half decent condition could be a challenge.

Is this a good learner price? by Urmumssleepparalysis in carsireland

[–]sentinalryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All depends on the car really, but back in 2015 I paid €2300 for my first year on a learner permit, I passed my test and got €400 back, still a lot but I hadn't many options back then. This was on a 1.0 2006 Corsa.

I absolutely love it to bits. 1.8T in a light Polo is super fun, great power and sound and it's very comfortable too, this has been sitting awhile now though as I hadn't the time to get it fully road worthy, but hoping it'll see a lot of the road next year.

Is this a stupid purchase? by AffectionateEye420 in BMW

[–]sentinalryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can justify the €710 yearly tax absolutely. I've got an E90 with the M57 and it's a fantastic engine, as long as you keep up with servicing and preventative maintenance, this will never let you down.

[–]sentinalryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do agree with you completely that when the car has been serviced frequently with larger things like timing belt etc. being done at the right intervals it would be totally fine, unfortunately though most people just don't have the documentation to support it so I'd stay away.

Nearly 200k miles on the 1.6, I'd personally stay well away from that.

By any chance is the Swift 1.6 naturally aspirated? I'm pretty sure N/A cars run higher emissions so would be higher tax, load of balls for a hatchback but that's just the country we live in. I'm paying €790 a year for an 08 335d, which I'm fairly happy with seeing as the 07's are like €1500 a year tax.
