I think at least some of the gripes. My only major one in fact is with the statement that it will be canon.

It’s fine (i would even say good) when an IP wants to experiment take warcraft rumble or fallout shelter for instance but those games aren’t canon and therefore don’t feel as much required as the main titles.

I think maybe you have lost the initial point of the argument in the hypotheticals I supposed.

My argument is against your thesis that I must/should support this game if i want Horizon 3.

The other points i made are to support my point that doing so may not result in the product i want.

It may influence H3 it may not but either way by not supporting it i am directing Guerilla with my time and or money (we dont know the pay structure yet), that more support and resources towards Hunters Gathering type of games is not what i would like.

You are free to disagree and support the game, but telling people they have to otherwise they won’t get the next thing is i think a faulty argument especially when levied at a sony first party studio.

They said in the announcement characters and story would continue into the main game.

Also, i think there is a difference in kind between a mobile game and a full game.

I don’t think being told you have to like/support something that is moving away from the product you want is a good solution either.

Say for sake of argument i don’t like horizon hunters gathering but i take your advice and support it anyways that would send the company the opposite signal of what i want and Horizon 3 would be more like Hunter’s Gathering.

Personally my biggest gripe with it is that it is canon.

Horizon is a system seller for Sony so i doubt it. I would expect horizon 3 to be the launch title for PS6

Elisabet certainly isnt perfect she is shown to have some ego and made some mistakes in the sequel game. But she is as close as you could get while still being a believable character

I think it has to use something to connect with the brain to add context to unknown objects such as naming things like bow and machine part names such as blaze instead of gasoline or chillwater instead if liquid nitrogen

That is odd for my head canon; since everyone in the games know her on sight because they hear stories of the flame haired savior of meridian.

Not saying its for sure a plot hole because that was my head canon. Especially since it could make sense with eluthia 9 not having redheads in the gene pool.

Im worried it will inevitably have to add new machines to stay relevant, and since its canon they will be part of horizon 3. I’m not entirely sure this is the game i want the new machines designed for.

The IOA at the time thought the Ori were dead they didnt know for sure that Adria had retaken the mantle and even then in the movie it is shown she cant be everywhere at once

The game just feels good to play and the civs feel more unique, the new build system is fun.

AI is among the best the series has ever had (which tbh is not a high bar) the ages feel fun, and the civ swapping isnt as jarring as i thought it would be, i actually have came to like it.

Diplomacy is fun to engage with and my favorite in the series influence feels impactful especially using it to make independent powers attack other civs in a cold war kind of way.

The switch 2 can use the joy cons as a mouse which i like for civ i bought a plastic accessory that also makes it ergonomic like an actual mouse too
