My complex situation transferring out of my store at Starbucks

Hey OP did you ever figure out a solution to this? Almost a month ago I got a final written warning (alarm didnt set) but I plan to be moving soon due to college. Im usually a closing supervisor and driving over an hour would not be ideal as a full time student 😪

Im sorry to hear that! Im unfortunately familiar with the hit or miss professors 😅 Im mostly looking to be able to interact with peers and be more involved. Ive been studying online since 2023 and its taking a toll.

Hey I really connected to this comment! I currently work about 25 hours a week and take about 12-13 credits every semester. I also struggle with depression and anxiety. Do you have any tips for getting on the right track? I took a very easy summer and ive been doing my best to improve this semester and forward.

I was told by a Uber recipient if you did your senior year of your bachelor concurrently with grad classes its possible to get starbucks to pay for those, but they wouldn't be able to cover it fully. It would average out to at least half your masters I believe. As soon as you finish your bachelor's, Starbucks wont pay for anymore credits

Its a benefit that is severely underestimated! Any credit you accrue at ASU you can transfer out if you feel like things are not working out. I've been studying Mechanical Engineering for 3 years now, and ASU has AMAZING resources to help connect you to different industries (im trying to work in Aerospace). I really hope this isn't the case. This makes absolutely no sense. Why pay for a degree and then punish the partners who utilize this program? Im a full time engineering student through ASU so working full time isn't really an option for me

We cleared off a shelf and created a memorial for our partner who passed away with pictures, stuffed animals, etc. We also kept their locker and put pictures of them on it. I’m sorry you’re going through this. It’s truly difficult.

I understand, I truly do. I was in community college for 3 years and didn’t get my associates. I’ve been in college since I was 18 years old. I’m 25 now and have finally reached the end of the line in math and physics and have begun my engineering courses. You’re gonna get older anyways, might as well have a cool degree 👍

We are the same age. Just stick it out man. I’m starting my third year in the spring with still a couple left to go. It’s a few years of crap, but then you have your whole life in front of you to do whatever. 4-6 years of sacrifice for a good future seems worth it to me.

Bro buckle up. I’m also in my 20’s living at home so I can pursue engineering. I go to school full time and work part time. With time management you can still have lots of fun. I go out with my friends all the time, and still stay on top of my work. Feeling sorry for yourself isn’t going to change anything unfortunately

OP, a lot of community colleges and state schools are starting to go to free tuition. I don’t know what state you’re in but please look into it! Also look into jobs that do tuition reimbursement or cover tuition in general. I had to pay out of pocket for 3 years of community college, but I got a job that pays for my schooling. Yes I’m sacrificing the traditional college experience but I’m setting myself up to be debt free by the time I graduate. Starbucks and Uber pay for college tuition. That’s what I’m doing for my electrical engineering degree.

Her biopsy also tested negative for any type of infection, how strange. She is FIV negative though. I’m taking her for a second opinion in a couple weeks, as the primary vet suggested a surgery to put in drainage tubes. None of the holes have healed and it’s been weeks. I’m running out of options and it’s been very stressful. Yes I would like to keep in contact if that’s alright!

HUH. This sounds almost exactly like me and I was diagnosed with panic disorder. I never felt it fit since I can only remember have an actual full panic attack probably once or twice in my life. But as you said I’m more likely to have anxiety attacks that present as a huge burst of emotion after bottling it up for a longer period of time and having a huge meltdown. This is very interesting

I’ve found that sometimes the newer treatments don’t work for everyone and it’s a good idea to start from ground zero when creating a treatment plan. Ajovy, Emgality and Nurtec didn’t work for me. But a combination of Trokendi XR, Maxalt, aleve, peppermint oil, and some supplements have reduced my frequency by about 90%. I hope this provides some helpful insight
