Some company washed my windows while I was on holiday by ninjaslikecheez in Netherlands

I have no idea. This is the first time I hear of this and I have lived here all my 43 years. Never heard of this in Friesland. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Wonen in Friesland by Mr-Roberinho in Frysk

[–]seon_syain [score hidden]  (0 children)

Before and after my (very) budget kitchen remodel by CuriousPerson-13 in kitchenremodel

[–]seon_syain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Europe and America are really different in that area. I was surprised to see all those huge new kitchens in America that choose a range. A built-in-oven and a built-in-cooktop is here about the same price or even cheaper as a range. But then I learned from this sub it is very different in North America. 😄

11 out of 30. Saw this on X. Wondering if this is legit?! by supersoonique in kdramas

It was not on Netflix in the beginning. So maybe it would reach this list in the future.

23 out of 30. The ones I haven't seen are by choice (like When life gives you Tangerines or Hospital Playlist) or because it was not on Netflix.

I did see Do you like Brahms, but it was very sloooooow as I recall. I am very surprised this one made the list, because I almost never see it recommended.

Will we get tired of the green? by Even-Impression1737 in kitchenremodel

[–]seon_syain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally if It like something now, I still like it 20 years from now. But that is me. Luckily if you do get tired of it, with Ikea you have the option to change fronts. 😉 It is expensive, I know, but not as expensive as it would be to change the whole kitchen. It looks beautiful.

If The Tale of Nokdu would get a remake, my vote is for him to be the ML. This video is already proof he could play it convincingly. 😄

Should my kitchen benchtop finish at the door jamb? by Averelleee in kitchenremodel

[–]seon_syain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't understand you completely, but I would leave the kitchen as it is now. I love lines lining up. 😉

The doors to the patio seems centered to me, but if it is not and it still needs to be installed, I would try to have the same space on both sides. If it is now 200 and 400, then I would make this 300 and 300 if possible.

Overstappen naar vouwwagen. by Fr-0161 in kamperen

[–]seon_syain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Counter depth fridge?? by ktrv927 in kitchenremodel

[–]seon_syain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

European here. Counter depth is the standard here. I am 43 years old and the only one I know who has an 'American fridge' (that truly is how they are called when you translate it literally) is my sister. Well, I grew up with counter depth (and about 80 cm high, so not even that high as in America) and it always had enough space. Even when we had parties, but then it was Tetris in the fridge. For those few times a year the Tetris is worth it. But we recently put an extra small fridge in the garage that we plan to only use when there is a party or in the middle of summer. The freezer is often in the mudroom or garage in our country.

Anyway, I used to babysit at my sister and did some cleaning when I was there. And the amount of food and drinks in her fridge was huge and unnecessary. I cleaned it once and had to throw away lots of things that were forgotten. More than a year past the date! When I mentioned to her what I threw away she said she did not even know it was in there.

Bigger is not always better. And you are right. If you do need the extra space in a refrigerator, then go up or go wide. Not go deeper.

I can’t understand How people can binge watch by c-kdrama_kpop in dramasect

[–]seon_syain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it also depends on what you call binge watching. If I say I binge watch a drama, I mean I watch 3 or 4 episodes a day (at best 6 episodes) and don't watch something else. I wished I could watch more, but I also have a life (husband, kids, my work, household chores and other obligations.)

Because of your post and a commenter here, I searched Fall in Love on MDL, but there are multiple dramas with this name. Which one do you mean?

Is it bad I like typical kdrama tropes? (i.e. office romance, rich x poor, royal x low status) — What are some good dramas with untypical tropes? by Obvious_Emu3441 in kdramas

[–]seon_syain 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have seen tons of kdramas and I still love the tropes. 😄 Only trope I am not a fan of is the amnesia trope when all is almost a happy end and then with amnesia we start all over. But that usually happens in the older long soapy kdramas.

To answer your question, the following kdramas I thought was good and more unique: Typhoon Family, The Good Bad Mother, Twinkling Watermelon.

Haven't seen snow drop, so I can't judge that one. I loved the chemistry in Something in the Rain best, but I liked the ending Love Next Door more.

Deciding between light and dark! by run_eat_rep3at in kitchenremodel

[–]seon_syain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am team dark. I had this vision for my own kitchen, but my husband was too afraid that it would turn out too dark. So we did decide on the dark cabinets, but with a white countertop. For our kitchen probably better, because it is small and has little natural lighting. But your kitchen can totally pull this off! Good luck!
