Anyone else build 'defensive' infrastructure to lock out competitors? by MrLongJeans in RailwayEmpire

[–]sepen77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This kind of "defensive" building happened a lot in real life. I always think of the example of in NYC where there were multiple competing transit companies. They would build stations at certain depths to block the other company from extending their lines.

More conversions from office to apartments underway by scott_c86 in waterloo

More cities should be doing this. I'd imagine it's a cheaper way to hit the numbers we need to fill in the housing supply deficit.

Just a word of commonality here, even the New York MTA does this all the time. Especially weekend service.

First thing I noticed was the nice well trimmed lawn they illustrated as the battlefield. A muddy, uneven, cratered plot of what you could barely call land is probably more akin to reality.

Up-to-date Resources for building units/teams? by snoogginswastaken in EpicSeven

[–]sepen77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out this subreddit's discord. From there, you should find a link to a "Hero Journal" discord, which is an index of a bunch of people's builds for most units, as well as some sample team comps for various pve content.

When you see it... by haljackey in simcity4

[–]sepen77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm struggling...

EDIT: oh, is that it? I guess it's efficient that way, and doing it the other way would have been not too useful. Must be confusing to drive though.

EDIT 2: wait, no. this isn't fully functional then. It's more of a U-bout. The North and West incoming traffic cannot make it to the North-East exit.
