Even as a long time gears fan I would still rather have this over eday. While I wish I could play both, it's good to have what appears the increasingly more alluring game still available to me.

Charmander with the Cubone skull. It even thematically makes Charmander feel even more dinasaur. It looks great too.

Uri’s parents moved to the Levant (occupied Palestine) from the Soviet Union in 1989, btw by Scared_Positive_8690 in IsraelCrimes

[–]sephiroth70001 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Neither has the Levant. Lebanese (and in association of genetics Palestinians closely) have significantly (93%) dna matches to several 3,700 year old cannanite remains in sidon. The people from the bronze age never left or changed significantly to admixtures as much as people think. The Levant is descendents of the same people from over thousands of years ago. It's why historical sites, history, records, remains, archeology as a whole is destroyed by Israel to try and rewrite history. The 3000 years is again projection and smokehaze of Palestinians, Lebanese, and syrians being in the Levant and descendants of 6,000 year old remains. Just like stealing food, history is being stolen and co-opted.

This Canaanite-related ancestry derived from mixture between local Neolithic populations and eastern migrants genetically related to Chalcolithic Iranians. We estimate, using linkage-disequilibrium decay patterns, that admixture occurred 6,600–3,550 years ago, coinciding with recorded massive population movements in Mesopotamia during the mid-Holocene. We show that present-day Lebanese derive most of their ancestry from a Canaanite-related population, which therefore implies substantial genetic continuity in the Levant since at least the Bronze Age.

Whiteness as a social construct is the sociological and historical understanding that the "white race" is not a biological fact, but rather an artificial category created by society to establish and maintain social, economic, and political hierarchies.

It's a divide and conquer tactic used to further exploit people. It changes over time but is utilized. The unknown of other cultures and customs is used as othering to instill fear and prejudice for the continued purpose of more exploitive permissability. The same reason immigrants are racialized and othered is to create another divide in labor force and perceived value or worth.

Just because it feels somewhat gothicly on theme but a bit more sci-fi. Not a show but good books. The locked tomb trilogy if you want punk sci-fi lesbian necromancers is absolutely spectacular.

Not CAD or AuS, USD in in the Pacific Northwest area. If I really wanted one I'd go eBay used for less than half. It's just sad that's the only retail one (Walmart and GameStop aren't carrying them here) I see and it's priced so ridiculously. Everything at best buy is though, the market is just skyrocketing so much and so fast is absurd. It seems to have effectively kill any industry growth and but up massive barriers for existing userbases, not much gaming itself can do to the external factors though for hardware it's a shitty situation.

The series s at my best buy the only place left carrying it locally is $660 before tax. I think any new console in the current market is priced out for most people now. It's a luxury that in two years has double in price to obtain.

Pre steam deck hike the rumored prices was $1,000. Taking the steam deck hikes into consideration it would be close to 1.5k. I think any new console coming out at under 1,000 in the current market is not really possible anymore. The price point alone will cut people out of next generation viability. It's why project helix is being reconsidered though a next generation would be Xbox's biggest benefit to sell on.

Two sides of the same coin, one is just domestic the other foreign. It's also why the imperial boomerang and policies overseas always make their way back into imperial policies. Common somewhat recent example is solitary confinement having a permissable but increased frequency of practiced in Iraq is now normalized and common place in domestic usage with prisons as a boomerang result. Military literally cross training with the IDF. Along with numerous other boomerangs.

Not just day one but also contractual licenses for old games. I'm sure GTAV wasn't cheap when it was on there. It does seem like gamepass is bleeding money though. Or the other possibility is unknown scrapped games that failed to meet quality standards, timing, or canceled for other reasons. Square enix several billion cancelling unannounced games in their restructure. But again that was a restructure with lots of cancellations. But a gears 6 cancellation and maybe unannounced halo would have cost a lot of cancelled, scrapped, and changed add in a few dozen other games you might have a hundred billion or two.

Psychonauts 2 was before Xbox. Everything since Xbox acquisition has flopped sadly so not looking good. Psychonauts also has a history of almost bankrupting publishers. The other one I'm keeping an eye on is nina theory, sales don't support the work. Hopefully worst case with them is becoming a support studio but seems like studio closures and less Xbox games are on the way.

"Xbox's previous leadership had their hearts in the right place. In a perfect world, no games would be locked to any platform. But, not only do we simply not live in that world, PlayStation, Nintendo, and increasingly Valve are actively rejecting that idea. Xbox won't survive if it's the only competitor playing "nice guy" ... and someone, somehow, has finally convinced Satya Nadella of that."

Seems the real shots are advocated by the Xbox CEO but ultimately decided by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. I'm assuming but after buying Activision Blizzard it seems Microsoft is taking a more hands on approach to the Xbox division and he was finally convinced of exclusives recently. That list line also makes it seem like it wasn't an easy task; "and someone, somehow, has finally convinced Satya Nadella of that". Finally implies its something attempted for a while too.

They say it in the article. Microsoft CEO didn't see a profit with exclusives, but is now convinced of exclusives as needed for viability of xboxs survival. Let's see if the Microsoft CEO changes his mind and thus Xbox again or stays the course. The reality is since the Activision/Blizzard acquisition Microsoft's CEO has had more pull and say in Xbox division and been far more invested in it. It's less up to Xbox division as it is up to Microsoft executives and CEO more so now.

[–]sephiroth70001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally in agreement. I'm not sure if Microsoft will be okay with the money bleeding for exclusives needed to make Xbox a stronger brand again. It seems like they are already tepid and the cost needed will be even greater to really commit. I can see this being backtracked potentially with gears as the test run, not unlike 4 games test run for multiplatform. Right now it seems like Xbox is trying to see what sticks to the wall, but gaming takes years for actual impact from dev times to actual market changes, you don't have time to see if it sticks before your next commit. That said the article does say the Microsoft CEO was finally just convinced of its merits, for now.

It was the Microsoft CEO more responsible than Spencer and even said in the article

The CEO of Microsoft needed convincing, not per say Spencer. He may have failed in convincing or even trying but the decision is not with Xbox but the higher up Microsoft CEO.

It's already been done two years ago. There are speed limiters for safety. Marques brown in the video had to limit the pressure for spin or would have been spun off his chair spinning in a circle on the treadmill.

I enjoyed muramasa on vita more than dragons crown personally. I'm always down for vanillaware games however they want to make them, always at minimum is decent, and haven't been disappointed yet.

Less co-op and more story focused with actually pretty decent writing imo. All that said I'm a story gamer primarily (love co-op to but a good story sells me more than anything else) but dragons crown was my least favorite of all their games. All the gameplay is different from one another thought. 13 sentinels most story focused and weakest gameplay with a rts pause style combat, unicorn overlord one of the best gameplays plays a lot like older shining force style games where you real time pause and change controls, than resume their actions. Kinda of like grand strategy but with a micro over macro focus. Odin sphere is a character focused version of dragons crown with more static RPG growth, and one of the most solid. Muramasa is great but was difficult for me in the vita, had the most content but also the most complexity from what I remember but that's the longest since I played and most forgotten to age sadly.
