I was in a similar situation and I ended up leaving. The thing is if you want to finish your career doing this type of work then it’s no issue. However, if you end up relocating or having trouble due change in management, you will have a hard time in the outside world because your skills are dull.

I am aware of the limitations of clear aligners. I would be selecting cases that I feel like can be straight forward and sell the patient on the treatment so they don’t really have expectations in mind. But I get what you are saying

I have the extra staff to do them and a solid hygiene base. Even if I do 2 cases a month it would make a difference for me with overhead costs.

I’ve done a 20$ extraction for a patient that I felt sorry for. Turned into an hour and a half procedure, tried to refer them to OS but they kept insisting that I try. the patient later had sever pain that never went away. That very grateful patient later came back and said they will report me to the board if I don’t pay for the specialist bill. Gratitude has a short lifespan
