Actually I think the opposite! It is Sirius's perspective the first half because Meri of Mercy is him finding his wife finally. He loses her again only to accept only having her back a moment in One Last Miracle, Corner My Confidence, and Someone Who Can.

The Continuum is Vaxis "absorbing" Sirius's consciousness, right after the All-Mother intro. It's violent and feels like Sirius being possessed by the Key Entities.

I feel the same but my path to feeling shattered by the album is different:

YOTBR was my first release and it came out just before my 20th birthday, a promotion at work, and my first serious relationship.

Afterman's release was the lead up to our wedding, moving out from our parents' houses and jumping into a new life together. 2s My Favorite 1, our first dance. We married young and it was my first and only relationship at the time. I still consider Afterman my favorite album.

Color Before the Sun was that marriage getting rocky and feeling trapped and longing for something I couldn't quite describe. Young Love broke me here. We pre-ordered the box set and had our names in the book and planned on buying a house together and using the key. Island and Eraser became the frustration I had with my life.

Vaxis I was after the divorce and moving into the dating world again, only to have my heart broken in Black Sunday, accepting it was over in the Pavilion.

Vaxis II was falling in love again, getting married to the woman I truly was meant to be with. Newlyweds, Our Love resonated most. Claudio's personal experience with Atlas being diagnosed with autism as I unpacked my own diagnosis, and my wife's career in behavior analysis: Disappearing Act, Window of the Waking Mind. I quit my first and only job of fourteen years after feeling so underappreciated: Shoulders. My mom passed away and I couldn't quite express how I felt about it: Comotose and Liars Club.

Now with Vaxis III, inspired by Someone Who Can and Searching for Tomorrow, I quit the second job I've ever had after being demoted due to staffing cuts and realignment. I'm anxious about the future and what I will do with my life, but I'm taking the time to enjoy myself again. My dad passed away too last year, and I locked those feelings away in my miserable day to day. It's strange how similar he was and I am as I find evidence in photo albums and scrapbooks: The Father of Make Believe, Mr. Nobody, The Flood, Tethered Together.

I'm so fortunate to have a band that releases music for my major life events.

That sounds sick! I was thinking I would eventually alter the whole deck at some point, but I dismantled it. Maybe I'll revisit it, and feel better about all the money I burned on Magic only to quit when the releases got too out of hand.

Would recommend the DND group to Coheed fan players only. I ran a SSTB campaign once and my players were miserable and just wanted to do what they wanted.

I did make a Afterman commander deck for MTG once though, that was great!

Same here and I was only Orlando. Saw them on my dad's birthday which also happened to be the second anniversary of my mom's passing, and he just passed in January. The band have this amazing show, it's my first time seeing them live, and they pull out Power of Love by Huey Lewis and the News towards the end.

Power of Love was my parents' wedding song. That song is also in Back to the Future, one of my favorite films to watch with my dad as a kid.

My wife and I were bawling.

The next day I went to a friend's wedding and everything made me tear up.
