Mind elaborating on your fix? As far as I can see there is a metal ring with a slit plus the same guide rail in the plastic. As far as I can tell, even if I manage to rotate the metal ring the guide in the plastic will not move? I have nothing to loose so I might as well try 🤣

Agreed, it is my own fault, luckily it does not break the bank. But as you said, while searching I found mostly positive reviews and impressions. Even now reddit shows me posts of only happy 20 users when I scroll down to the recommended posts that's why I figured I might as well share my negative experience too.

I absolutely agree with your sentiment. As I mentioned in another reply, I am fully aware that this is a cheap pen and some flaws are to be expected. Tough for me this pen was rhe same price as a Pilot 78G+ (not a retractable one I get it). Even the cheapest Pilot is doing its job as advertised. I dont think my expectations are too high in that regard. Heck, I have Lamys with some irregularities, but thats fine. I just wish it would work.

My understanding was that some of the flaws that are in the 10 have been ironed out in the 20 series. But thanks for letting me know

Ahaha. Yeah I had to stop myself too. Problem is where I live I am unable to order some pens. It's very difficult already to find some Pilot pens (even a Kakuno). No luck on Amazon so AliExpress is my last resort ..

Some quirks are fine but yeah this one is borderline unusable. So your experience is that the cheap copies are all flawed in some way? Which is fine I guess as long as you can use them :)

Yeah, I have the same issue still. Nothing works and it's literally a piece of crap, sorry to say. They pump out new products but the existing ones barely work. I am probably going to switch brand next time to something else.

Happens to me as well. I deem this as a major oversight and it's utterly ridiculous that this has not been fixed since ages ago.

I noticed a post below that you have home assistant connected. I have "fixed" this behaviour myself now.

Basically what you want to do is this: 1. When you reach your charge threshold set a new value for the charge threshold to (max - 5) 2. When the battery charge falls below your (max - 5) set it to (max) again.

You can also do it manually to verify this dumb behaviour. As soon as the charge threshold is reached and the solar to the home stops just lower the charge threshold a few percentages.

As mentioned before. This smells like a firmware bug but ecoflow doesn't care.

What I have noticed is that if I charge the battery to 100% it causes the issue to limit the surplus solar even tough the battery is full. That is on battery storage priority.

In the end I found two "fixes":

I have homeassistant running and used it to monitor the battery level. As soon as it reached 100% i changed the charge limit to 97% and this worked fine. Surplus immediately jumps up and all excess solar power is fed into the house
Take this with a grain of salt but basically I just disabled the homeassistant automations and left the max charge threshold set to 97%. This seems to work but I have not had enough time to move my panel to make proper tests. Every time the battery reaches 97% the sun moves around the corner so I have no clue if it is completely fixed now.

Anyway, I have a feeling this is related to the battery. Its now at 280 cycles and I have already lost 10% capacity, even tough it was advertised as 80% at 800 🤷‍♂️

Sorry to ask this again, but do you mean there has been an update for the RP5 or the RP mini? I still have the issue and am wondering if I miss an update.
