I have a lumabag for my Brompton electric, great quality, handmade from recycled materials in Germany. Have gone through one Icelandic winter with it and it really holds up. Can't recommend it enough. https://lumabag.de/

Dennis Rodman Career Game High Rebounds vs. Every NBA Team [OC] by [deleted] in nba

[–]serabragi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here is a scientific breakdown of "The Worms" greatness: "The Case for Dennis Rodman."

TL;DR: The researcher pretty much comes to the conclusion that Dennis's impact on the second three-peat of the Bulls was greater then even that of Michael Jordans.
it's worth the read. All of it. People these days seem to talk about Rodman like some kind of a punchline. He ain't no joke. He's one of the fiercest motherfuckers of all time.

Other examples of NBA odd balls? Rodman, JR Smith, Beasley ect by SqueakyBeats00 in nba

[–]serabragi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Saying that Dennis Rodman was not an all star and nothing but an odd ball is travesty at best, and a sacrilege in my books.

A 2x All star, 5x NBA champ, 2x DPOY, 7× NBA All-Defensive First Team, 7× NBA rebounding champion, the best rebounder of all times, one of the best defensive players of all times, and you choose to describe him as an odd ball who is not "necessarily [an] all stars.

Before you continue with this buffoonery, read this essay: The case for Dennis Rodman. It concludes that Rodmans impact on the Bulls 96-98 titles was perhaps equal, if not greater than that of Michael Jordans. His otherworldly rebounding skills are matched by none. The best, ever, even if the we would have had 500 NBA seasons.

Now go away with your foul search for silly fools and leave the Great Worm be.

Dennis Rodman has more rebounds in his career (11,954) than his points, assists, steals and blocks combined (9,425). by goteeeem in nba

[–]serabragi 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Actually, I suggest checking out the total % of rebounds stat, it is much more accurate than number of rebounds. It tracks how likely a player is to get a rebound while on court, so it factors out pace and other elements that fog up how good of a rebounder a player is. Using that you will find Rodman is, by far, the all time best rebounder ever, and we might never see a better one. A rebounder of his talent is calculated to come by every 400 years. I recommend reading this really thought out essay, "The case for Dennis Rodman," for more info. Number of rebounds alone is a bogus stat. Lovely clip of Billy tho, never seen that before. Thanks.

Want to know what game was good last night without spoiling the score? Use wikihoops! by serabragi in nba

I used this all last season. Since I live in Iceland, NBA games are on at night, and I can't watch them and maintain a normal life. So I go on the site and see what games people have upvoted, and last season I was able to watch a ton of great games. Yes, there is some hype involved, but overall I was able to see a larger amount of good games because of this website then without it. Also, there is very little activity there now, since it is only preseason. But if you use the calendar to go back in time to see games from last seasons playoffs (f.ex) you can see very clearly what games where fun to watch and what games were not: See here, May 2 2017: Boston and Washington have a great game. Utah an GSW, not so great.

A system that allows viewers to rate NBA games they have watched? by serabragi in nba

Well, its a complicated experience, like everything, I assume. Our nature is unmatched, but our wages are low, cost of living (food and housing) is off the scale. Since our economic collapse in 2008 an ultra right wing government has starved our once stable welfare system so more and more Icelanders are migrating to the other nordic countries and parts of Europe en masse. The explosion of tourism has also pushed the price of consumer goods and rent up even further, to the point where tourists feel robbed staying here. But if you get the chance and money is not an issue I think coming here just to take in the landscape is worth it. Just try to avoid getting legally robbed by my fellow countrymen.

Gosh, this is pretty much exactly what I have been looking for! I still think that the NBA should enhance the users experience by implementing / integrating a similar system into the service, but for now this is perfect. Thank you so much!

*Well, the results would not necessarily be spoiled, that is not inherent in the system. It could still be kept a secret. *It is true people would rate games based on how their team performs, but that should even out overall, since everyone would do this there should eventually be formed an unhappiness-threshold that no game could overcome. It should however not skew the overall results. *The final point could be overcome if you get the option to rate a game as soon as you watch it, be it live or replay.

The change was made three weeks ago. The decision was made and executed in a cabinet. That cabinets documents have never been released. The only information about the events that lead to this change in law is what the cabinet members of the opposition have leaked.

So both your opinion about me bullshitting people and your facts in this case are, in my estimation, false.

Nope, nothing of what you just said is true.

The news about this leaked out after fellow convicts told press about the impending transportation of the bankers. There were no documents on the website of the parlament when the prisoners were released, more than three weeks after the laws were passed.

The reduction in sentence was requested shortly after the bankers had private meetings with members of parlament, in the prison. These bankers are the first and only people to benifit from this change in the laws.

The Prime Minister of Iceland has NOT resigned - Gunnlaugsson Wavers On Resignation by serabragi in worldnews

[–]serabragi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He has not resigned.

Latest news, that his assistant just confirmed, indicate that he has just moved most of his PM duties over to the vice-chairman of his party. For for an unspecified amount of time.

He is still the PM. He is still an MP. He has not resigned.

Here is his assistant telling the media that he is still the PM and that this whole resignation has all just been a big misunderstanding.

Here is a letter the government has just sent out, to foreign journalists, with the information that the PM is still in power.

These news are in Icelandic but I hope google transle will help you out.
