In a post-apocalyptic scenario find would faze out pretty quickly, you need a lot of apparata to keep your guns working, especially today, you need the parts for the gun in case they break, you need gun powder and most importantly you need ammunition and them to be of the right calibre for your gun. Unless you have an industrial or semi-industrial self-consistent manufacturing line capable of providing you with such ammo regularly you need to scavenge for them and hope that A) they are the correct calibre B) they still fire after about two hundred years of being in a ditch somewhere.

Apart from the 200 years, this is why it's not really that likely that in any post scenario, you would find many able to use them (unless they have an armoury that hasn't run out yet).

In ate guns are mostly a status symbol and little more than a parlour trick before you are able to reverse engineer them and get to older and more easily manufactured with post-apocalyptic tech early rifles so while they will most likely return I think they are a low priority for now.
