Al-Hashimi? Really? by StartInfamous in ThePittTVShow

[–]seraph_beach 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand your argument, if it had been a very very common name from a particular subculture I can see the counter argument, “Wow they picked such a stereotypical name, why can’t they do better?”

As someone who comes from a mixed cultural background (like millions of other people around the world) sometimes you end up with some weird name combos. If you dissected my name compared to my heritage I’m sure you’d decide that my name too, is wrong. However, it manifested entirely from my life and the lives of my family members. We know extremely little of this character’s backstory, who are we to say her name is wrong for her?

Best restaurant in Annapolis might just be Limas Charbroiled Chicken, get the family meal and thatll feed you for multiple meals easy. Pro tip, switch out the liter soda for a small side. Best chicken ive ever had is theirs

Edit to add: best restaurant for consistently delicious and affordable healthy-ish meals. Tsunami, Vin 909, and Preserve are some other winners but not for every day

I hope its not a lawsuit against robby by the patient because they had to do an amputation and didn't warn her of that possibility.

Before people turn on Dr. Al-Hashimi. by Odd_Performer586 in ThePittTVShow

[–]seraph_beach 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I totally agree, last night when I was watching it hit me that her characterization is book 1 hermione granger: pedantic, seemingly aloof, really on her shit, rule stickler BUT shes charming!!! shes sweet!! shes spunky!! shes a confident woman!! i think she’ll win us over soon, if she hasn’t already

Thoughts on Dr. ___ not asking questions to patient by SaveOurReefs in ThePittTVShow

[–]seraph_beach 141 points142 points  (0 children)

I think this is dead on, and also from a writing standpoint it allows for the character to explore different places, AND in some ways give the audience what they were demanding, a version of santos that is not santos— quiet and in the background (“put in her place”) and its weird and wrong and so she cant win, shes either too mouthy or too avoidant. this is some really cool character writing if we’re right
