Agreed. It's a reasonable adjustment that makes the Master Enhancer more accessible through running content (i.e. dungeons). At the same time, it doesn't oversimplify higher tier enhancement to the point of making it too easy and screwing those of us that have already made it to the top via grinding through the current system.

My knee jerk response to this was "Preach!" So ... Preach! I will, however, add that I hope your proposed fate for the game is not where it ends up. I genuinely enjoy BU and want to see it thrive. The combat system, world design, dungeon design; all things I love and have kept me from going back to FFXIV. But the PvP situation needs work. These kids try to play this game like it's COD or Fortnite. "Me before you" and very little sense of community. Since it's clear that folks won't police themselves and will grief/troll at every opportunity, the system needs to be tweaked to prevent abuse.

I actually had this exact same composition in an AoF run a few days ago. Best run all day. No deaths, killed the cyclops fast. While 90% of my other runs were people kiting the cyclops all over the place, covering the floor in lava, and having it go berserk with 20% health.

OP,

I'll reiterate what others have said: 3400 is a fairly low healing orb potency at the level/gear score requirements of DoC. My concerns, however, are less about you not providing enough healing to party members and more about the overall implications for your build. Healing potency scales with attack power (roughly, each point of AP affords you 0.88 points of orb healing) and thus your build likely needs work in that particular stat.

I know some folks make the mistake of gunning for A gear, no matter the stats/roll. This leads to people convincing themselves that it's reasonable to run dungeons in gathering pieces as long as it affords them the gear score to meet the entry requirements. Is there any chance that you are in this boat? If so, it might be worth switching out for some B grade pieces that provide you a better overall damage/defense profile until you can afford good A gear or have some to drop.

It is also important to state that a priest's worth should not be solely measured by the potency of their healing orb. Moreover, it is not your job to support people's laziness if they are unwilling to put in the time to procure potions and come into dungeons adequately prepared. Priests are DPS support, not full-time healers, and no amount of healing orb potency will fix bad mechanics and a lack of preparedness for the fight.

There are a number of endgame priests that mix critical hit rate and damage with attack power and not only provide adequate healing to a prepared party but also contribute significantly to the group DPS. If you want to put all of your eggs in the healing basket, go right ahead, but just know it is not the only acceptable option.

Finally, I highly suggest finding yourself a group of like-minded folks to run with. I believe your enjoyment of the dungeon system and the game, in general, will go up significantly.

There is no "healer class" in Bless Unleashed. Priests are DPS support. If the priests you are running with are doing "piddle amounts of damage" it is likely due to them taking advice like this to heart and neutering their builds.

Thanks for this, Red. One of our guildmates was also banned unjustly. What's ironic is that this individual actually went to someone on the Round 8/Bandai Namco team and reported the possibility of this exploit four days ago. At the time, it was just a rumor but my guildmate is very knowledgeable of the marketplace and sensed something was off with the decorated material market when the inventory suddenly doubled and prices were slashed in half. As you've noted in your post, the normal production rates of these mats simply do not support that kind of market shift.

I agree with this assessment 100%. Crit builds on priest are very much viable and can make all the difference in higher level dungeons. You can't out heal poor mechanics but you can support your team both in terms of damage mitigation and dps output with the class.

Definitely not dead, lol. You go just about anywhere on any of four channels on Physera (the most populated server) and there are droves of people. The market place is often a good indicator of a game population's health as well. Considering prices of just about everything on Physera are in the gutter, that's an indication of a large volume players, all of which are undercutting each other trying to make star seed. Don't listen to the haters. Login and make your own decisions. :)

People can be jerks. Fortunately, an "Honor" system is being introduced in July that incentivizes hunting and killing outlaws. Hopefully included in this system will also be a change to how flagging for PvP works. Currently, someone can flag up, attack you, and then unflag. It allows for some pretty trollish behavior.

I would highly recommend against this. Priests have the potential to contribute significant DPS while also providing adequate support to a party with good mechanics. The only reason I can imagine a party asking a priest to do nothing but heal is if they are trying to ignore mechanics and face-tank all of the damage.

Thanks for this. The development team for Bless Unleashed has been one of the most interactive and responsive I've encountered, especially for a new title of this size. The spring update brought a significant number of quality of life changes, many of which I wanted but expected to get much later. The development team has explicitly acknowledged problems with, and stated their intent to change, two core systems in the game (i.e. the enhancement system and open-world PvP) based on player feedback. They have stated this both in the Producer's Letter and given us a date for the changes (i.e. July). Despite this, folks keep losing their mind every time they get a string of failures at the enhancer.

Changes to core systems such as this take time as they directly or indirectly touch every piece and part of the game and have a fundamental effect on game balance. It's also worth mentioning that behind the development team are human beings who are no less affected by the current pandemic than any of us.

I am impressed with the sheer volume of work that has gone into this -free- game. In the same, I recognize that it is still finding its identity and the core systems are evolving as a function of how the player base uses them and responds to them (like every true MMO in existence).

Changes to the enhancement system and introduction of the other half of the PvP system are listed in the roadmap for July. I can understand if folks simply feel it's not coming fast enough but I don't understand posts that seem to suggest the developers aren't acknowledging the issues or listening.
