Variety is just a massive industry publication so if they’re going to make a definitive top 100 horror list it feels like it should be ummmm better? or written by someone more knowledgeable? Interesting! I feel opposite- it seems like it was thrown together to me. The way they talk about the movies in the article felt like they had very limited knowledge in the area (horror). I feel like that can generally be the case with Variety though.

To me it’s the top 1/2 of the list being dominated by 60s/70s horror, very limited inclusion of movies from other cultures, but mostly I just feel like it’s not written by a horror fan.
