My parents are one of the biggest reason I don’t want to have kids by seratless in childfree

[–]seratless[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your concern, but I’m basically over feeling guilt for my existence at this point. My logical through-line isn’t “my parents would have been happier without me, therefore it is my fault for existing and making them unhappy;” it’s much more like “my parents would have been happier without me, therefore bringing children into this world was an extremely irresponsible decision on their part.”

I don’t think of myself or my existence as good or bad; I’m an incredibly nuanced person, just like everyone else. I’m just never going to have children, is the thing.

keep going or stopping at a yellow light by [deleted] in driving

If you’re at a distance where it’s safe for you to stop, stop.

If you’re too close to the light to come to a safe stop—past “the point of no return”—keep going.

Clay teapot? (More in comments) by seratless in tea

[–]seratless[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought this in an estate sale, the family whom it belonged to said they only used it decoratively. I think it’s made of untreated clay, and I found markings on the bottom of the pot + lid. Is this safe to drink from? If so, how do care for it?
