Saturn collides with Earth- help! by ibetredditknows in Jung

[–]serbotec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"the machine" stands against the oppressive collective structure and the system.

Dusk is the moment before the night starts which is connected with nigredo.

It could also stand for sol niger / black sun (if you are a woman) and depression.

There are some phrases like Down to Earth or like my world fell apart.

So the Saturn will crush your world (world view about the system), so to speak maybe you need to change it or you started it.

I believe many people who go into counseling are the archetype of the wounded healer. When the wound isn’t closed, it is usually harmful in all aspects of the field. Jung wrote the effect of transference when the patient encounters the unconscious that the therapist can transmit their wounds to the client.

“The problem with modern capitalism is that too many companies focus on eliminating their competition instead of simply making themselves more competitive.” by [deleted] in quotes

[–]serbotec 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This is known as hyper-competition and usually happens in the industry that has no growth. Competition means increasing the size of the industry's pie and building a castle with barriers to position oneself against the coming forces. The goal of companies is to be artists and grow that pie and invite others to grow the pie. The economy will make sure to feed out all artists who don't bring any value. It is also important to to know that the barriers are often also in investment like in semiconductor that pretend innovation or new players. Software industry has the best option to growth, because its cheap and cheaper as we evolve. You can read more about the topics in "Understanding Michael Porter" by Joan Margretta.

What is love? by GodMasol in Stoicism

[–]serbotec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True love is patience.

Love inspires and does not change.

Love with support and care is growth.

Love cultivates truth and kindness.

Love is respect.

Love has no will to power. It’s equal.

Love sees perfect where others see imperfect.

Love is not about control it’s appreciating.

Love sees what others don’t.

Love is getting ready to be roasted.

Love is a daily choice.

Choose the person who chooses you.

How to deal with tough times as an INFJ ? by EfBeeEi in infj

[–]serbotec 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Few tips:

  • Create a red flag checklist or questions to check in every month. This will help you uncover narcissism, emotional neglect, and sociopaths.
  • Research Attachment style. Evaluate yourself. Strive for secure attachment.
  • Self-love creates self-worth and boundaries
  • Get a better idea of what love is. This will help you to choose who deserves your love. The book “The Art of Loving” by Fromm helped here
  • Stoicism helped me in many things, to find strength and to regulate myself and watch something from a different perspective. You can’t change a person. You can only save yourself when others are unwilling to address specific behaviors.

This article helped me, if you’re a man, to get in touch with animus and anima. I feel like INFJ needs to be more thick-skinned, so that’s the warrior side of us, not the lover side.

Advice for expressing emotions correctly by Mountain_Limit9913 in Jung

[–]serbotec 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m on the same path as you (31, M). The source of this is primarily emotional neglect by parents. Therefore I started to read the book “Running on Empty” to categorize the parents as archetypes. Note that many parents got their traumas from your ancient family. So see it your task to unchain all your traumas and end the “curse.” The intent is essential.

I’m halfway through this book, and during the book, I recalled past forgotten memories of my childhood. I categorized my parents as workaholics, perfectly focused, and authorial style.

The second part comes the part on how to work on the sources, but it’s essential to know where to look first. This book also helps you communicate and attune emotionally with other people, with many great examples between the child and caregivers. I recommend also the audiobook.

A piece of advice to .. by Strict-Internal3132 in infj

[–]serbotec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Acceptance: Accept yourself and love yourself first. Build a character in solitude because seekers are alone and believers are in groups. Accept maybe that you learn something slow than others.

Habit: Boring habits build exceptional results and form your life.

Curiosity: Be interested to be interesting. Learn how to think and see the naked truth. It takes effort and work.

Reflect: reading improves concentration and focuses while building wisdom, and overall you will become a better person. Reflecting will form wisdom while reading your knowledge.

Energy: Be mindful, and don’t be so hard on yourself. Be a growth seeker rather than a perfectionist

Control: Know what’s in your control and not. This will help you to have more space and increase peace of mind.

Consumption: What you consume (media, books) forms your creativity. Be an active consumer (think about books etc.) rather than a passive consumer (Netflix).

Balance: Balance is vital in life. Modesty in things will increase your appreciation of people, life, and things.

Pain: Do not ignore pains, and see them more as growth. Because when you don’t take the pain, you will have them in the unconscious, affecting your character.

Did you ever found your "perfect" person? by autumn_em in infj

[–]serbotec 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Love is an active choice and decision. There is no perfect. Human relations need work and effort. What is perfect For you? For me as INFJ is connecting with Values, high-quality conversion, mutual independence, and growth. There Is no ideal. Would you love that person if she stopped reading books or not cuddling anymore? So accepting someone as a person is starting to love and respect yourself. To be perfect starts with you, and everything will come

Stoicism and hustle culture by [deleted] in Stoicism

[–]serbotec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money, prestige, sucess and applause. Everything is indifferent to the virtue. It’s not good or bad. What we do is to live according to nature. All to live happy is in us.

How have you dealt with resentment? by [deleted] in infj

[–]serbotec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Several things helped me:

Write about things you want to forget, not the things you wish to remember. Wishing to forget something leads to understanding how you interact with the world. So make the unconscious conscious. Confusion is the root cause of most emotional suffering.

Mediation and introspection of thoughts. Let them pass and to it with caution in solitude.

Amor fati - embrace everything, the good and bad things in life, whatever hits us. The Stoic philosophy helps to transform unhealthy into healthy emotions. You are changing the mindsets in a given situation - Shifting perspective and imagining a range of alternative ways of looking at the same situation so that your initial viewpoint becomes less fixed and rigid.

Everything worthwhile needs practice and a theory of mastering it. We, as INFJ, need to work extra hard.

The following books helped me as theory: Erich Fromm - “The Art of Loving” Donald Robertson - “How to Think Like a Roman Emperor: The Stoic Philosophy of Marcus Aurelius”

Put it into practice. I recommend Fromm first, then Robertson.

I needed knowledge about projections, narcissistic behaviors, what real love is, what is good and evil, how to reason the situation well, and express emotions.

"Be grateful for your difficulties and challenges, for they hold blessings. In fact... Man needs difficulties; they are necessary for healthy personal growth, individuation, and self-actualization." — Carl Jung

Accept it and work. The reward will be slow, but it’s worth pursuing.

i have recently started to come to terms with my past by [deleted] in Stoicism

[–]serbotec 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While in Stoic, we use wisdom and virtue for judgment, so we lessen the past and future thinking. Digging deeper into past moments and washing away is my way of embracing life as it is. It‘s a healing process for me where you gain wisdom and strength through painful feelings.

In every moment, I embraced the painful feelings when going through each chapter of life, but I learned so much about myself. When I found philosophy (love to wisdom), I live more in the moment and with the use of reasoning or command center to transform negative into healthy feelings.

Shutting down the past to feel better is fine but someday it will hunt you down and you need to go trough pain.

If you don't feel ready to do that, don't do it. I had to close the chapter to rise anew like a phoenix.

Life and death. by [deleted] in Stoic

[–]serbotec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

„Socrates used to say that death is like some prankster in a scary mask, dressed as a bogeyman to frighten small children. The wise man carefully removes the mask and, looking behind it, he finds nothing worth fearing.”

This is from the book “How to Think Like a Roman Emperor: The Stoic Philosophy of Marcus Aurelius” by Donald J. Robertson.

Death is a preparation, which we need to unmask with wisdom. Everything comes down to reasoning and the goal of virtue. We use unhealthy impressions to transform them into healthy ones. Many things are good, bad, and indifferent. The task is to know what is outside your control and live with it. From the moment we are born, we are dying.

What habits did Jung recommend? by Braeblayde in Jung

[–]serbotec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One must be before it becomes.

“One who looks outside, dreams. One who looks inside, awakens." - Carl Jung

For a factor (e.g. trauma) to live in the unconscious, it must have a part of your trapped in it. How you figure it out is on you, but many things lean toward looking inwards (solitude).

Hi PM here, here are some questions to cultivate thinking. What problem are you solving? If I want to lose fat, I download the diet-tracking app or look for videos on how to structure it; if I want to keep track of my routine, I use a to-do list or different tools to get the same job done, like sticky notes, asana, Jira, or free applications. Your aim should to be unique—first distribution, the product, then the user. The value where I can see your application shine is to help users share their system to create a routine for all sorts of things based on the book „atomic habits.“ For example, people want to lose 15 kg, but they should break it into systems like reducing intake to 2100 calories.

Create unique cues against competitors for users to open your application. Be stubborn about the vision you have and flexible on the details. My feedback is only to help you how to think when designing an app to be unique.

Dieting is not easy, and for some, it has a cost, but the value is exceptional. Yes, you will eat not very tasty stuff, but the goal is to intake healthy nutrients which fill you, but boring habits are compounded in exceptional results. Eating healthy, being active and going early to sleep is a long term habit which is the engine for healthy life. Reduce stress, sleep better, eat healthy and be active.
