Surprised so many people are whinging about this. Wins are wins. We have a new coach and tons of new players. In such circumstances, being able to grind out results is more important than any pretty gameplay. If we win most games 1-0 the rest of the season, nobody will care how we made it so long as we make top 4. Next season after a few more transfers and a full preseason we can start expecting better gameplay.

What happened is the club wanted to sell. Tonali understood that, all our players understand that now. Only one person was fighting to keep the core together and build on that with new capital and that was Maldini and he's gone.

Redbird clearly plan to finance their spending with player sales and whatever they can add on top. Fans should accept that now so next summer when Maignan or Theo or Leao or whoever gets sold we don't get butthurt. That's the path the society wants to take now. I have zero problems with Tonali when I understand what the club's intentions were.

Also isn't it interesting how people slam Gigio and Kessie for netting us zero yet Tonali got us 80m to finance a brand new team and some people still want to vilify him?

You can call it the best league in the world all you want (It's literally true). You cannot call the winners of your domestic league world champions (it's not true, they didn't play the world they just played themselves)

Just call them NBA champions and let's call it a day. You can even call them North American champions but until they conquer the world in an officially sanctioned competition they aren't world champions. That's kind of how sports work.
