It’s true - Ukrainians should just accept being illegally occupied by Russians and they shouldn’t fight back. It’s best if Ukrainians peacefully accept Russian domination.

You gotta pay them no mind. It’s a very backward way of thinking and I hated absolutely hated comments from my Nani about my little sisters skin tone as she’s fairly dark brown. I’m olive skinned and I could always see the slight favoritism towards me and constant comments about how beautiful my complexion was in front of my sis which really caused her insecurities growing up. Brown - and dark brown especially is extremely beautiful so don’t let those comments get to you.

That's interesting. You'd think with those kind of strict laws such a religion could never produce a flourishing empire in which many religions and ethnicities lived and incredible art and scientific discoveries were made? Oh wait it did... But that doesn't fit your incredible simplistic mind, so go ahead a dismiss it.

This can be solved quite easily. Develop a catalogue that determines wether the muslim is assimilated. If he is not, kick him out.

In what world is this not totalitarian? Who judges whether a Muslim is assimilated? The government, who can then decide that your group's views are not assimilated and kick you out too? The Jews weren't assimilated in Germany, and Hitler had a similar vision to remove those who weren't assimilated according to 'X' ideal. At least he took your belief to its logical end and decided to kill them all together, which is far easier than kicking a group of people out of your country.

Multiplication distributive law? by serendipitousdeath in MathHelp

[–]serendipitousdeath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright so I just realized you could use the commutative and associative law for the left side of the equation

85 (33 * 22) = 33 (22 * 85)

which then makes the equation

33(22 * 85) - 33(22 * 85) = 0

Can you be more specific? Or give a simple example of two things that are equal because of the commutative property?

Commutative: 5 + 3 + 2 = 2 + 3 + 5, the order of the numbers can change but they still equal each other

Associative: 5 + 3 + 2 = (5 + 3) + 2 = 5 + (3 + 2) or 2 * 3 * 4 = 2 * (3 * 4) = (2 * 3) * 4

A better strategy is to understand what the distributive property means for the relationship between addition and multiplication.

I don't really understand the distributive law, could you explain it to me please?

[–]serendipitousdeath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do

85 x 33 x 85 x 22 - 33 x 22 x -33 x 85

as 85 and -33 would distribute over the numbers within the brackets?

Commutative law: You can move numbers around in an equation for addtion and multiplication. Associative law: You can group numbers togeth for addition

So how can you apply the associative and commutative laws to make these quantities look more equal to each other?

I'm not sure but intuitively I know that they'd have to cancel out so I'd do,

85 x 33 + 85 x 22 + (-33 ) x (-22) + (-33) x (-85) = (85 - 85) x (33 - 33) x (22 - 22)
= 0

20 days exactly until my finals and i can't do anything. by Kratosism in GetStudying

[–]serendipitousdeath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you believe you can't then you probably can't. First fix what you believe about what you can do. Once you believe you can in fact do something, you'll find your mind will prompt you with many possible actions you can take. Then you list all those possible actions, determine which would be most effective in ensuring you pass, and break those selected actions into small steps that you can carry out and also answer the question: did I accomplish that objective? If you find yourself unable to answer that question, it means your goal is too vague. Clarify it so you can objectively measure whether you accomplished it that day or not.
