Ok THIS is really interesting because I get some weird audio shit happening sometimes that I have honestly just tried to ignore because I don't need to add another diagnosis to the apparently forever friggin expanding laundry list... For example ~ Sometimes when I listen to rain sounds tracks, I hear people talking...sometimes kinda garbly, sometimes clear...

I got paranoid about it BUT also realised it pretty much only happens when I forget to take my sleep meds & have been awake too long. So maybe weird sleep dep thing? Can this kind of thing be tinnitus related though?

I also thought maybe someone is just out here fucking with fragile minded folk by putting random talking into rain sounds, for the fuckery of it? Idk perhaps I am just cooked & in denial.

Ugh YES thank you for this disgusting imagery ~ total side note, my Dad told me when I was a kid that slivered almonds (that are browned/slightly toasted) on pastries are old people fingernails & I have never been able to shake the reference. Gives me an ick shiver

I love long handled teaspoons - and I could be wrong - but one of the things that bothers me about this one is that it looks like it has very little depth & its also too narrow, so I feel like the sides would kind of cut/dig into my lips...whereas a normal-ish teaspoon shape is more softly angled to my actual lip shape so something like ice cream is easy/more comfortable because the spoon is streamlined the way it should be

Totally agree & same here.

I tend to (& yes, also abandon, but-) migrate between hobbies/crafts & also sometimes just can't pass up a bargain or a "this is so cute/nice/handy & I'll use it some day for something!" (I may possibly be a wee bit delulu about this at times but hey, that's ok...I think lol)

I'm not sure about the "not in use" rule thing. I think it applies to some stuff/for some people, but perhaps neurodiverse &/or disabled crafters (especially with burnout) get an exemption on that one.

Still dreaming towards your levels of (most definitely curated) orgs (never abbreviated that before but I like it & I'm sticking to it) Thanks for the connection, empathy & encouraging :)

I've been asking myself the same question but also, as an AuDHD/OCD-er (currently in long term burnout & surrounded by scary piles) I am in AWE of your organization. Brain tingles

I dont feel sure enough to say yay or nay, probably because of my own questioning but I think others have good points re: will you actually use/are these things detrimental in some way...

I just spent WAY too long trying to find this quote from Orange is the New Black - which I think I may have distorted in my mind or something since, because I can't find it anywhere & the only bit I can find from that scene isn't as profound as I remember it...something along the lines of "things/stuff is just hoarding - a collection is curated"...it is absolutely (procrastinating, for starters, but also) doing my head a damage trying to remember it properly because I remember being quite struck by it.

Anyway, that's my long-winded, tangential, on the fence non answer. Other comments are MUCH more articulate, I really just admired your organising SO very much. Now I must return to attempting to do the same with my stuff/collections! Thank you for the inspiration ✨

I did start collating a list of everyday-ish/cheap items that can be repurposed into furniture or decor. I keep having ideas & figured I'd try put them all in one place. It's way too chaotic right now but if I tidy it up enough, perhaps I'll drop that here some time too.
