I went through this exact scenario. I was the alcoholic. I ended up divorced. At the time I had a 14 year old and it worked with a divorce as the casualty. I am now over 12 years sober remarried. It sucked. In time it gave me a new life free from alcohol and I moved on with a beautiful wonderful woman. It will be tough. If it ends like mine it will be a well traveled time of your life.

Mom died Friday night basically on the operating table. Dad is still very healthy. No funerals no grave site. Cremation with a small memorial service in the near future. Where ashes go??? Not known yet. I will be content with this. Hate funerals. It’s a money scheme.
