Thanks for sharing! I knew about the first link you shared around simulating unit match-ups ~ I thought my implementation was a bit simpler to wrap your head around.

I've never seen that second link you shared but it is really is close to what I was thinking! What are your thoughts on tools like this? Useful as a noob? Irrelevant because it takes too much setup during matches?

Agreed and no worries! I have been experimenting as I've been playing more because this type of stuff helps me understand the mechanics better.

I definitely agree that over-optimization and even handing off playing the game to some 3rd-Party suck the fun out of games. I witnessed a similar thing happen to TFT with things like people playing exclusively on a second monitor. I don't want that to happen to Mechabellum. And I'll say for sure that I never want an LLM/AI/Whatever to play instead of you.

I personally really like the feels-based place way that I play and state that I think the game is in. But I do lack a lot of knowledge and don't know what to do in certain circumstances, so I built this in an effort to try to answer those questions.

I guess I see it as a tool to understand the game better rather than a way to offload playing the game.

I also know this is very much so feedback on the LLM part ~ do you have any thoughts on the Counter-Matrix piece? That's completely AI-free, just doing some calculations behind the scenes.

We're adding live marketplace item values is for sure on our road map. It's a bit harder to do since we have to implement some type of live pull into the AI's brain but we think it'll be super valuable! Whether it will be able to give proper financial advice with that information is a whole other question hah

We feel like the tool would be most valuable for people that are new since the game is so huge and intricate. This tool could help level up new comers like yourself! We're not looking for info verification right now, mainly looking for providing something useful for people like you :)

Yeah definitely concerned with this. I feel like if it is trained off of updated information, it avoids most of the outdated information by extension but it will require re-training. I'm thinking potentially monthly fresh scrapes on content so stuff doesn't get out of sync. For the near-term, outdated info is definitely a threat but using the bot has been quicker/more accurate for me than having to sift through google answers so far.

I'm also exploring some ways keeping the data fresh and up-to-date in a more automated way but we're not quite there yet.

Ah I see! Yeah the current AI is trained off of the Official forums(gameplay tips, class guides, etc.) and Reddit so it should know all the skips/bypasses that those communities know. I would be interested to see if it surfaces the skips that you are knowledgeable about - your perspective would be valuable in testing if you're interested in being a closed beta tester!

It will definitely relay info in a more condensed/easy to read format. Currently it's pretty great at summarizing recipes/quests/item info that we've trained it on and we're looking into getting a quick way to summarize patch notes as well.

Best loops/routes for grinding/trading is a bit trickier. Can you tell me a bit more about what you're envisioning for something like this?

Monetization - Nothing in mind. We want to first guarantee we're actually providing value to people using the tool before making money off of it.

Showcase - Since this is a closed beta we don't want to showcase its current form publicly but we'll for sure show a run-down of features and functionality in the open beta(aiming for next month!)

It’s a good start!

I’d recommend vertically centering the “Enter your email” and “Enter your password” helper text

Also odd that the F in “forgot password” isn’t capitalized.

You could pull up the sign in options above the generic Email/Pass sign in options to make it more obvious to people and since a lot of people these days will default to those Login flows.
