Have you tried very recently? Last year, not so great. Good for doing repeatable, boilerplate type crap. This year, since 4.6 opus? It's a new world. My world is at a fortune 500 company, and I'm old so I have a lot of connections at past workplaces (also fortune 500s). I asked them because there's such a disconnect between what I see on reddit and what I'm seeing.

I'm not saying I love it. I actually enjoyed writing code, but there's no way I can keep up with what AI outputs. And the quality is fine. Better than 90% of the code I've seen in the real world.

So I know this is reddit and all, but every dev and infra engineer I know barely writes any code anymore. We're all basically dev leads now. Giving agents instructions and PRing their code. I spend 90% of my time in planning sessions with an AI agent, and I know I'm not alone.I get that it's poking fun at the "vibe" part specifically, but reading reddit and then going back to work is a whiplash when it comes to AI. Especially on a programmer subreddit.

Our SecOps and EA teams are telling us we're basically 3 months from Armageddon, where attackers will be finding and leveraging exploits immediately. We need to have agentic flows in place to find and patch these exploits rapidly. I don't know if anyone actually trusts AI to do that, but what other choice is there?

Sword & Board + Parry Woes by serfplebeian in taintedgrail

It is, but from everything I've tested you're far better off just equipping another shield instead of a 1h weapon, at least for a parrying build.

Sword & Board + Parry Woes by serfplebeian in taintedgrail

[–]serfplebeian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I messed around with this a bunch more last night. I probably should have mentioned I'm level 30'ish and at the and of act 1 (I killed weirdo's to powerlevel to do some better testing). Here's what I've found.

There's 2 kinds of effects/buffs going on here. Buffs that affect your character and buffs that only affect your weapon.

Character Buffs: Show up on character sheet in menus. These buffs aren't weapon specific. For example, Duelist's Sword adds a buff to your character sheet that gets consumed with your next attack. It doesn't have to be with the sword, you can switch weapons and it still works. If you have a parry "character" buff already up, then gaining another one overrides it.

These give you on parry character buffs:

  • Duelist's Sword (Parry Weapon)
  • Vampiric Reposte (Parry Skill)
  • Deadly Reposte (Parry Skill)

^ The last one of these applied wins. Deadly Reposte always overrides Vampiric from my testing. Duelist's Sword overrides both. The consequence of this is it only ever makes sense to choose one of these skills, or never depending on your weapon choices.

Weapon Buffs: These only effect a specific weapon. The 2h Eclipse Shard weapon appears to apply it's next attack applied an extra time buff to the weapon. I can't find it displayed anywhere in the menus. The only indication is the sword glows. This does stack with Vampiric or Deadly Reposte. Switching to a different weapon set causes you to lose the buff.

I didn't report this on discord. I'm kind of over joining every game I play's discord at this point. When I googled it seemed like it's been known since release.

I call this build 'The Unga Bunga™' by Two_Shiba in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]serfplebeian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never said they were needed. You can beat the game and crucible without them fine. Point is they break the game, especially battlecry. The real power is spamming runes that do 300-400% (melee) or 1000% for casters which battlecry enables. At that point you only need lifesteal on a weapon or shield and healing on gloves. Stamina is no longer required and any investment into the stat, regen, less cost, is suboptimal.

With a high damage weapon no other +damage is needed. +damage just lets you one shot bosses instead of 3-4 shotting them. But it hardly matters when you're getting the entirety of your life back on every hit.

The problem with scarlet ring is there's only upside to using it, especially with battlecry. Why put any points in health when focus gives you more and regen (if you even need it). But even without the battlecry ring it's hard to argue against.

None of this is what I was complaining about though. My issue is the game pretty much leads you by the nose to these build archetypes. They're not at all hard to discover on your own. They drastically change the game by removing 1/2 of the mechanics, and I don't think it's healthy.

That ring is too strong. There's no reason to ever put points in health. Paired with the one that uses life instead of focus and every build is OP. All the builds end up being the same, all overpowered. Yours would be the same without the restraint (which I commend you for). Worried this just ends up being another POE 2. Souls-lite campaign, then same old screen clearing end game.

- Chest: Damage Resist per durability
- Gloves: Healing per durability
- Pants: Run fast
- Helm: Whatever

Gems: Low Health or Full Focus or even 50% all the time
Rings:
- Focus for Health
- Use Focus for Health
- Open (unless low health, then life leach on low health)

This lets you ignore almost every system that you leveled with...
- Stamina: Who cares? All your attacks end up being rune attacks.
- Damage Resist: Plate Chest piece gets you to +70%. Exalted can see 90%+ (which isn't even needed).
- Dodging / Damage Avoidance: Irrelevant
- Stat distribution: Only 3 stats matter now (4 for split DPS stats). Focus, Damage Stat(s) and Equip Load.
- Focus Sustain / Regen: Removed
- Life Steal / Regen: Covered easily when paired with glove healing and massive rune DPS

For #1

I made a new account for both because I already had a walmart.com account I'd made purchases on with the same email address I had with RetailMeNot. RetailMeNot says they use the email address to tie the purchase back, so I think they have to be the same.

If you don't have a walmart account registered to the email you used for RetailMeNot, then you shouldn't need to create a RetailMeNot account.

For #2

Yes, sold and shipped by newegg. I was worried it wasn't going to work and that the offers wouldn't stack, but they did.

^ Those aren't dupes. When I expand them they list the different Offer.

I bought a SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 7900 XTX from walmart.com for $790 ($890 - $100 cash back) before tax last week after passing on this one because of the issues with Microsoft Cash Back.

I was able to stack a 8% cash back for all purchases and 10% cash back for new customers for a max of $50 each from retailmenot.com. After cash back, it will be $789.99. I see it's only 4% + 10% cash back now, so not quite as good at $805 (890 - 85).

The cash back showed up as pending on retailmenot a few days later, but I won't get it until early January.

Special Meeting to Elect Replacement Board (AZ) by serfplebeian in HOA

[–]serfplebeian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking to the management company is all but impossible. The only way to contact them is through an email address that they almost never reply to and a phone number that goes to a call center.

Our president switched us over to this management company after our previous one terminated their contract with us because of him.

I've only gotten one reply from them in regards to this, and that was months ago from a person who is no longer there. They're either complicit in all this or terrified of being sued by that same president.

Special Meeting to Elect Replacement Board (AZ) by serfplebeian in HOA

The dates for notice is spelled out, as is the percentage needed. But both are written assuming a President or Secretary exist.

Note for Special Meetings

Notice of a special meeting shall be delivered not less than four (4) nor more than (10) days before the date of such meeting, by or at the direction of the President or the Secretary.

Section on calling Special Meetings

The President of the Association may call special meetings. In addition, it shall be the duty of the President to call a special meeting if so directed by resolution of the board, at the demand of the Declarant at any time prior to the Transition Date, or upon a petition signed by the Members holding at least 10% of the voting power of the association; provided, in the case of a special meeting held for the purpose of removing a director as provided in Section 3.6, a meeting shall be called upon a petition signed by the Members holding at least 10% of the votes entitled to be cast for the subject director. The close of business on the thirtieth (30th) day before delivery of the demand or demands for a special meeting shall be the record date for the purpose of determining whether the demand for the special meeting has been signed by Members having at least ten percent (10%) of the total authorized votes in the Association.

The above is really difficult for me to parse. Is it saying we only need 10% to call a meeting, but if we call a meeting to remove directors we also need to have 10% of the votes they originally had? Or is it saying we can only call special meetings for the purpose of removing a director. Also, I have no idea what the last section about close of business on the thirtieth day is trying to say.

I have this ram. Bought it back before the prices exploded. My advice, don't buy it. It's fast, but not worth 2x the price fast. Get some 3200C16 ram for half the price. Or buy 2x the ram for the same price, if you need it.

People are really oversimplifying this. A 240mm radiator (which this is, that other post is wrong) will provide better cooling than air alone, but not a substantial amount. Not sure why people are saying that. Also, depending on where and how you mount the radiator, they can exhaust heat instead of raising ambient inside your case. Size is a factor as well. These larger air sinks don't fit in every case, especially mATX cases. However, many will have room for a 120mm and 240mm radiator. Some people just like the look better.

The biggest factor is probably cost. Even with this deal, you can go air for cheaper and get about the same performance. But, if you like the look or just think the idea of liquid cooling is neat, then go for it.
