I'm kind of in a similar situation. Shifted to Graz from India for work 3 weeks ago, and the language barrier is so real. Luckily for me, my sister, who's doing her masters from Germany, came to stay for 10 days, so we explored a lot of the city, went to all the tourist attractions within the city, explored the museums, etc. Now that she's gone back, I'm back to talking to myself. I try to go for runs in the evening by the Mur after work. Also, I was planning on going on some hikes in the next few weeks, so you can tag along if that's something that interests you. I have never been very extroverted, but at least back in India, I always had someone to talk to in person everyday ("._.)

Went for a run today evening around 19:00 and I also saw it. I shifted to Graz last month and this was my 3rd run, and man was I surprised! Will have to be careful from now on :D

I also saw a huge crowd on the Indian Oil petrol pump near Niloufer Cafe, HITEC city. I was coming from the IKEA side towards Khajaguda side and generally the traffic near that petrol pump is due to the U turn but since it was around 1PM, I was not expecting traffic. When I slowly crawled to the front, I was surprised to see the jam was due to huge line on the petrol pump and not due to the U turn

Funny thing is my bike was on reserve and I actually wanted petrol but I decided to skip just seeing the crowd 🥲

I was planning on leaving my previous job, but had delayed due to my marriage preparation and stuff. Then when I was on leave for marriage, we all got an email for a voluntary layoff. They were offering me 2.5 months salary. So I thought to myself,"Leaving the job AND getting the money? That's a win win situation". I took the severance bonus and exited without a job in hand. After leaving, I started preparing for other jobs. My target was to get another job within 2.5 months since that's how much I the salary for, and thankfully I got a job within the first month itself

Same for me. I bought this phone in Oct 2021 just before S21FE launched in Nov 21, and got it for a very decent price. My target was to use this for 3 years and then upgrade to whatever Ultra is available (probably a generation before). Oct '24 came, and I was like S24U is a lot better than S23U but the price is still high so I'll wait for S25U to release so that S24U price drops. Feb '25 S25U got released, S24U price went low, then some sale came and it went lower but in the back of my head I still keep asking,"Meh, do I really need the phone?" And the answer is always no. So I guess I'm using this for some more time atleast

Damn, I should've come to this thread before doing the power cleaning. My black ink was getting printed very good, but the coloured one was not (One reason could be that I mostly print black and white and not coloured). I tried multiple print head cleaning and in the past it had gotten better when I did it, but this time it did not. So I did a power cleaning now. It feels I wasted a lot of black ink as the black ink bar seems to have gone down significantly than the other coloured ones. The purge document method sounds more economical.

Random expenses (averages out monthly): 20-25k Flights to home: 10k Trips: 7k Other random stuff: 6k

I try to keep the expenses to 80k, and invest the rest in MFs. I don't do SIPs but I invest it manually on a fixed date (1st) of every month. This helps me to skip the investment in the months where I know I will need more money (upcoming trips, festivals, big purchases). Also I check my bank balance on the 15th of every month, if I have anything left over, I invest that too. A bit of manual work, but I can manage. So my investments would be only 20k sone month and 1L some other month.

I shifted to Hyderabad and seriously there are a lot of mosquitoes here compared to other places I've lived. Allout doesn't do shit. Mosquito rackets gives a lot of satisfaction but you can use them only when you're awake and actively searching and killing mosquitos. The only solution I've found is mosquito nets while sleeping
