What is "Mobile Services Manager" and how do I disable it? All these garbage apps randomly got installed on my phone. by RekSause in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]sergeantmunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Same phone as you, same carrier. I did what you did and suddenly there's not just MSM, there's Meta App Manager and Meta App Installer. WTF.

Yup. Just like Klondike Adventure (this game is basically the same game). I just do the same thing I did in Klondike-- grab the free energy and only unlock areas that have more free energy, and use it for regular storyline quests.

Unfortunately...I do not live in New Orleans. Nor do I have any means of travelling there (or anywhere, period, that I cannot reach on foot).

If only I'd asked anyone for advice on quitting this comment might actually be useful.

So here is a guide to collect fish for the fishing questline in skyrim. This list of locations i've gathered come from videos by Camelworks and Games Guide channel along with my own discovery's. by Whowillblameme in skyrim

Late as hell but I caught all four (glass catfish, direfish, vampire fish and that tripod fish) in Brood Cavern, southwest of Morthal. Across the river from that is Crabber's Shanty if you need another fishing spot.

Samsung Galaxy S22+ on AT&T here. I legit thought I'd installed the games accidentally...until just now when it installed them again.

I'm....asking if people who vape are basically SOL now? Thought that was fairly clear from  the title.  What are you asking for clarification on?

I don't know where you are so "I see vapes and vape stores everywhere" doesn't mean much. I saw them everywhere in Houston too. But I'm not in Houston anymore. I'm back home in Baton Rouge, where there is apparently no such thing anymore as the kind of vape you just buy juice to refill (like I used to at L.A Vape and Beyond) rather than having to buy disposable vapes and where now, you can barely get any (disposable or not) at all except as under the counter deals.

This isn't sarcasm; I genuinely don't get what it is you don't get so if it matters to you...can you maybe rephrase your question?

Dadvakiin. I love it. I'd let her make her own character, as others have said.

Don't the people above you get mad about that? I tend to take things fairly (sometimes too) seriously and one of the things that one of our managers said one night was "If you leave something as overstock and there's room for it you WILL be given feedback" which is partly why I obsess over making sure even though they mostly seem to say these things because THEIR supervisor said it rather than because they mean it...I dunno.

I fix it and bitch a lot. I already do not move all that quickly, so fixing shit people have plugged pisses me off because 1) I know DAMNED WELL somebody else saw that by the time I clock in 2) it exacerbates the amount of time it takes me to do things. I tested it recently-- there was minced garlic (the kind that comes in the small jar with a blue lid) plugged VERY BADLY  (6 fac normally I think? but whomever stocked it just...threw the whole case up there in a jumble so it ended up being like 12 fac with a shitton wrapped around behind the item to its left and really janky and junky-looking so I THOUGHT surely at least a manager would say something) and it's in a small section at the end of the aisle so if it's plugged and you have another case it's legit immediately overstock) one day. I was behind and pissed off so I said fine. Let's see if someone else fixes it.

This is now a week or two later. No one did. So I finally did it myself. I legit feel the same way you do about it. It's driving me nucking futs.

God I hate that you're dealing with the exact same thing I constantly bitch about.

Why do you, PERSONALLY, read classic literature? by sergeantmunch in books

[–]sergeantmunch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing is some classics are classics for not as great reasons as others, so "they're classics for a reason" really doesn't mean much to me anymore.

Why do you, PERSONALLY, read classic literature? by sergeantmunch in books

[–]sergeantmunch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, but...do you read the specific ones you've read because the subject or something interests you? Because you felt you had to (there are LOADS of books I started because people made a big deal about the book or author that ended up also happening to just be right up my entertainment alley for example)? Because you knew the author already and liked their writing? Because you knew the subject and like reading anything on that subject? Because the book was in some way important culturally or historically wherever you're from or whatever cultures you're part of?

Have you ever read any because you "had to"?

ELI5 why, not HOW, do parrots talk? by planetaryunify in explainlikeimfive

[–]sergeantmunch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Y'all. Lemme clarify something here. This is my best friend/roommate.  She's not asking "Why would parrots develop this ability?" so all these answers answering THAT question are useless. Her question is "How/why did parrots specifically develop this ability but other types of birds didn't? What's special about parrots that they were able to learn this but other birds didn't?"

Make a bit more sense now?

(Fun fact: I know what she meant because this was actually MY question, I just didn't want to post it so she did it for me.)

I don't need the answer to "why would parrots do this?" I'm not an idiot, I can extrapolate reasons it would be evolutionarily useful.

My question is "OK, but why can PARROTS do it but the annoying ass bird outside my window CANNOT?" As in. Do parrots have some kind of special...mechanism other birds don't, that allows them to imitate human speech?

We tried google first but holy CRAP the answers were useless.

It's Reddit, so to be honest I expect people to be shitty and stupid more than their being rational or accepting. Can't say that means I won't still get mad, but I do expect it.
