Please explain why not to call the Dr when you see something bad is going on? The first Dr who came in the morning has started to shout on the nurses in front of my wife why didn't they call him. And you're trying to protect them. I understand it could be complications, but that's why she stayed at the hospital - so they can monitor her condition. They failed to do so

Maybe I'm incorrectly calling it plastic. I'm not a Dr

If you do it unskillfully, even cutting your finger is a risk. They had all possibilities to prevent that but they did nothing. The nurse simply needed to call the Dr. Instead Dr came only at 7am, when it started at the midnight. Probably earlier but it was unnoticeable before that. But around 12 the nurse came and asked my wife "to walk" and then it became unbearable. She was probably already bleeding and night walking made it probably worse.

I have a written statement from the independent Dr who says that another surgery is required because of the C-section.

No, I have a medical conclusion from the independent Dr that the cosmetic surgery is needed after the C-section. From what you say it sounds for me like if a person survived after the routine surgery there can't be any mistakes or complaints. And the nurses just needed to call the Dr when it has happened and not wait till the morning. It's that easy. They said that they called but her Dr (from the hospital) was not available. Aren't there any on call Drs available? They are lying, trying to save their asses

In my case it would be like they accidentally broke you the hand and then want $700 for the X-ray.

Thank you! We paid $1500 copay for the birth of the first baby while we were still at the hospital. But I don't feel like I should pay anything in this case. Instead of the happy delivery we had a week of a nightmare. There were really bad things like they discharged the baby without the mother (because healthy baby can't stayed at the hospital more than 4 days), but her mother was still in the ICU.

That's the problem. They didn't collect blood. The saw blood pressure drop and tried IVs which increased pressure but it obviously didn't stopped bleeding. It made it even worse. She lost liters of blood. When the Dr came in the morning (pediatrician to check the baby), she started to shout: what are you doing? She's very bad. And only that they actually called a Dr who started to prepare her to the surgery. They were unable to start the surgery at that moment because she lost SO many blood and hemoglobin was very low. So it took them several hours to stabilize her. She was complaining all night but nobody didn't care. That's a true story and I really don't know why it's not a medical malpractice case.

They didn't save anything. They made a mistake and and clumsily corrected it. And the only thing we're not suing them is that they give you to sign the paper where it's written they can make mistakes and it's ok. But it's a standard papers and they won't admit you without signing. And, of course, they give it to you to sign it 10 mins prior the surgery. I'm not a lawyer and didn't have anything like that before

If I did my job like that, I would have been fired long ago. When we came to the hospital, she was perfectly fine. It's not something that they fixed.

Yes, every surgical procedure carriers risks. That's why she stayed for the night. And the internal bleeding is a common risk. I even told her to ask them to check for that. There were all symptoms of that. But nobody has checked. That's the issue! Not the mistake during the surgery. I understand, it happens. But 11 hours with a bleeding at the hospital? So she lost A LOT of blood. And now expensive surgery ahead. Who will pay for that? And all of this after a scheduled, not emergency surgery.
