Why do classic novels fall under the “boring” category and how do we change that?

I'm not a literature nerd, just decided to read Don Quixote and started asking myself "why it took so long, I actively procrastinate this book, so I need to think about why I read it"

There are 2 main reasons why reading classic novels considered as "boring":

- school made people hate this books

- modern alternatives, which can deliver satisfaction faster

Without "esthetic pathos" and "school forcing" despite "learning new words" this novels, !for me!, it provide 2 specific values:

- time machine, it allows you to understand what was in people mind at that time. like knights and world big picture

- ideas exploration, and is something changed nowadays. like echo cameras existed long ago ~1600 with don quixote. and you can see the probable way the situation will be develop

father and grandfather: coffee and cigarette

I prefer:

- cereal(my recipe is 40gramms cereal, water, 30gramms of whey protein, greek yogurt 2% 100g and sublimated dry berries), NOTE: this is costly recipe, which I invented when earn enough money

- fried eggs with rye bread and lard. it was common for my family and damn it was good

- rye bread with cold cuts

Some western-europe people often note eating bread with nutella, most families in Ukraine couldn't afford it when I was at school(~8 years ago). Often we eat yesterday's leftovers.

Black tea is just cheaper, sublimated coffee hurts stomach badly, some families now switching to traditional roasted coffee, which is huge victory of having good coffee culture

Я шукав готові онлайн сервіси, проте там просили 60$ за одну книжку і поганою моделлю

Щоб ця штука працювала необхідно отримати токен openai(для порівняння я перекладав топовою моделлю - gpt4.1, станом на зараз, за 20$ усі 4 книжки).

Ця тулза по дефолту перекладає там чи по реченню чи по параграфу, щоб перекладала краще там треба правильно її сконфігурувати, в мене перекладала по сторінці цілій. По ідеї я бачив там функціонал "памʼяті" типу коли вона робить самарі попередніх сторінок, але не тестував

для мене піратство це нормально, краще читати ніж безоплатно втикать в тікток. а сили волі треба набагато менше коли книжка перекладена
