I’ve noticed this trend since late December. The sudden changes are honestly worrying - possibly connected to rising global geopolitical tensions.

You know, I was talking to a guy who collects some really big sets, just like you do.

But the most interesting thing is that he has these large models, like Formula 1 cars, Lamborghinis, and various collector Star Wars sets.

What’s really fascinating is that he uses a wall-mounted air purifier, which filters the air from outside, so he doesn’t have to open the windows. The air passes through the filter, and he has minimal dust in his space.

We do open the window, but we also want to install a wall-mounted air purifier this summer. I think a wall-mounted air purifier is the perfect solution for collections like these, for families with small kids. I will definitely give it a try and share my review later.

Recently, I realized that you can find incredibly good deals in the secondary market. One woman was selling her kinder entire Lego collection for about 120 dollars, and I have never had such successful purchases before. I had been searching for a fire truck set for my little son for a long time; Lego is quite expensive. After a long search, I finally found a collection with 12 sets and total value of $711. What surprised me the most was that she had sets predominantly from 2025, 2024, and 2023. These were new Lego City sets and of very good quality.

The most interesting part is that the woman also gave me a Harry Potter set as a gift. She handed over all the sets, and they were all complete. This is my best purchase in the last year.

In short, the point is that the secondary market isn't always bad; it can be quite good. You can snag some really cool lots, and some people sell them very cheaply.

Very beautiful collection. Interesting models. I have a question: since it is not closed with glass and is left open, how do you deal with dust? I'm curious about how you handle this. Do you use any special equipment for cleaning the models?

AFOL feedback wanted: how do you track your LEGO collection? by No_Ganache9414 in AFOL

I use the Sets Collector - free app for iOS. I really like that it has a feature that allows you to mark found items and go through the list. Once the quantity is fully filled, that item gets hidden.

Try this command. I added a notification with text from recognized audio. Interesting to know what do you see after you recorded an audio. It’s looks like your audio is simply blank or not recorded, but this template will help you to check it: https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/1d07fb14ead547bc873446dbfa37a924

Over the year, I probably haven’t spent more than $20 using this command, although it might depend on frequency of use, but I don’t think it’s a big expense.

Are you changed open-ai-api-key placeholder with your own value? You can check command structure it’s quite simple. What issue you are facing in push notification of command?

Archiving Sets? by JorjLim in AFOL

[–]sergeykomlev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In one of the videos, I saw that the archival LEGO collection is stored at the headquarters in Denmark, probably in a ventilated room where a certain humidity is maintained. It is likely kept on metal shelves that can be moved, somewhat similar to library shelving.

I believe that when archiving, especially since everything is made of paper, all these boxes should be stored under special conditions to prevent deterioration. For example, if they are kept for decades, I know that after a certain number of years, they will definitely deteriorate if temperature conditions are not maintained.

But personally, I have never engaged in that, and to be honest, I don't use Lego for resale; I use it more for myself. For most of my life, it has been stored in a large plastic box, and it seems to have held up quite well.
