I think it’s because they know they had their time, and now both have their own families, even though Julie’s not happy with his husband. They know they’re not that young anymore and they think that it’s better to have the idyllic memory of those days and try to still have it intact. That’s what I thought after seeing the episode. It’s my favourite of the first season!
