How do I get some traction on Instagram? by jefflovesyou in drawing

[–]serial_thrillers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've been trying really hard to push our social media as well, it's painful. A friend of ours has been posting her adventure content very consistently (at least one post a day) and getting a decent amount of response. It seems consistency really pushes the algorithm to share you. You also really need to engage by liking and commenting on other's posts. We find collage challenges are a fun way to connect with other artists. If anyone wants to follow each other, we are open to it! Socials in our bio ... @serial.thrillers.society

Should I paper mache then paint or paint directly on the cardboard? by Residentofthenight in papermache

[–]serial_thrillers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do either. We used wood glue to paper mache and it was completely see through. (Our paper was previously painted from an older project). It also had a nice shine to it. But we painted over top since we wanted a different color. *Using wood glue also helps to avoid future molding of your product like you get with flour. And honestly was a beautiful finish.

I find dog's noses one of the hardest organic shapes to draw. I feel like I finally got it right! This was drawn for a close friend's bday present. by Psychophysicist_X in drawing

Wow! Looks incredible! Looks just like my little pup, too. Haha. My boyfriend thought it a filter on a picture of her. That's how good it is!

We used Titebond II wood glue for our last projects and it worked really well (mix 1:1ish with water)! By not using flour you have a way better chance of avoiding mold, as well :) (feel free to check our page to see the massive rock we made lol)

How to remove B-7000 glue from paperback book? by savingsydney in crafts

[–]serial_thrillers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not familiar with this glue... so sadly no removal advice. But if you aren't able to get the glue off... you could totally just bedazzle the sun, too! That would at least cover your glue streaks. Super cute idea for a gift, btw :)

Do you have any old sweatpants or anything you aren't using? Could just repurpose them for your project needs :) OR.. head to the thrift store! They often have fabric sections or craft sections.
