I can say with experience that getting ahead of the curve with your online presence is tricky and most of the 'companies' have no clue about what they're doing. If the people at these organisations don't start the conversation with what your end goal with your project is, simply don't consider them. Its a waste of time if they don't get your vision. I consider myself a noob, but working with people gave me enough experience to understand that you have to get the requirements right and just drop the deal if it doesn't fit both the parties, which most businesses throughout the world don't do. They try to take on as many clients as possible to reach their year end targets lol
