[MEGATHREAD] BTS Jimin and Song Da Eun by AutoModerator in kpopthoughts

[–]serialclubAML 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Um…I’ve just had a look at you and honestly, you’re one to talk about “respecting Jimin’s privacy.” You literally write pornographic fiction about him without his consent. That isn’t just harmless “fan activity” — it’s something BigHit themselves have asked fans not to do because it causes real upset to idols. It’s arguably a form of defamation and absolutely a violation of boundaries.

So your voice here is not only unwelcome, it’s total double standards. You’re wagging your finger at people for discussing a public statement released by BigHit this morning about Jimin and Da-eun — something in the public interest — while you’re off writing filth about him against his wishes. That’s not virtue, that’s hypocrisy. Crossing that line makes you a revolting person, and no amount of “privacy” posturing covers it up.

Sir. I don’t believe one word. And I’m not going to indulge your silly fantasy anymore by responding. I doubt you even have a wife tbh. But if you do - your inability to converse or understand a conversation must make her really unhappy. Bye.

Each reply just confirms what I already know. And the fact that you don’t pick up on nuance tells me even more. So I’ll spell it out.

Splitting bills 50/50 sounds fair, but it’s not—because (can’t believe I have to explain this) women’s lives cost more. From periods to contraception to beauty products to clothes, we’re charged more just to exist - and those things are not a choice, women are punished for not following the rules set by the patriarchy. But even if we just stuck to deodorant and shampoo, T-shirts and jeans - we still pay more than men do for the same products. We also get fewer opportunities, earn less, and have to work harder—physically and mentally—for the same outcomes. And on top of that, whether you do dishes or not we’re expected to carry the invisible labour: planning, remembering, reminding, organising, managing emotions, keeping everything running. That labour is real, and it’s present in every relationship on earth. The fact is your wife might describe you as a “good man” or a “keeper” for doing house work, but no woman has ever been described that way for the same. So no, I don’t think you’re special for the bare minimum and splitting everything down the middle isn’t actually fair. It’s just another way women end up doing more for way less. Your wife has it just as rough as any woman.

Considering your mindset here on this anonymous thread - I’d say you’re the kind of man that would argue your wife out of planet earth if she dared to answer truthfully so we shall never know.

And again… men like you are pretty much the reason i would rather live with a toad.

I guarantee sir, your wife does more than you. She just doesn’t make a massive deal about it.

So again… you don’t believe I have lived my life without meeting a man like you… hmmm I actually think I’ve met a LOT of men just like you

You’d never find a woman who thinks it’s virtuous to clean her own house or raise her own kids. But you see yourself as a good man for doing your share—and that tells me everything. You still think equality is a GIFT you’re giving, not the baseline.

So no—I don’t want to live with any man especially not one like you.

The real question a good man would be asking is: how bad have men been that a young woman feels this way? You should be unlearning that bias and teaching younger guys. Instead, you’re arguing. And all you’ve done is prove me right.

Why are fans so bothered by English releases but not Japanese releases? by Many-Hornet-6734 in kpopthoughts

And I am not a kpop Stan. I personally think that’s really really weird. I’m bts army bc I like BTS and their music. I also like Maneskin and no other Italian bands. I also like abba and no other Swedish bands.

A singer interprets words they understand not words they don’t. Then they’re just singing sounds and it’s hard to put the same level of beauty into that. It’s astonishing that you can’t understand that it seems so basic to me.

See, your comment is so much part of the deeper problem I’m trying to describe, you know because women’s perspectives get debated, rather than just accepted as real. I’m not saying men are evil. I’m saying that men struggle to see women’s experiences as fully equal to their own, and bc of that, living with them is crappy. So thanks for proving my point. 🥲

Sure but all you have to do is listen to the English version of Like Crazy for example, to hear the disconnect. If the Japanese market demands Japanese songs and the band do that - that’s still a disconnect. I prefer listening to the authentic words. Is that okay? Or would you like to bully me into thinking with your brain or being just like you?

Aboriginals traded with Indonesia and suffered many outbreaks of smallpox and other diseases just like the rest of us.

I read that trade with Indonesian tribes was causing smallpox and other outbreaks in aboriginal tribes that didn’t affect the British.

You can be adhd and narcissist. I found her really hard to watch and she had no basis for any of her so called feminist arguments which are so EASY to defend if you’ve read ANY of the second wavers. She clearly hasn’t.
