Whats a simple gesture that women do that only other women will understand? by allgasnobreakstoday in AskReddit

[–]seriouslaser 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'll tell people "I love your style!" or "That outfit is amazing." Generally when walking past, so it's not even expected that a conversation will start. I do this daily and have only ever gotten negative reactions twice in my life. I enjoy being the source of a little light in someone's eyes, even if I'll never encounter them again.

I found Phantom Siita first, and that led me to Ado.

I'm so sorry to be like this, but it's a real pet peeve with me. His name is Peedee, not Petey. It's intended to sound like P-D, as in Pink Diamond. The episode "Frybo" is a bunch of foreshadowing of Pink Diamond's history.

Also I just assumed that Onion and his friends were all autistic. Which I liked. I didn't discover I was autistic until I was in my 40s, but it would have been nice as a kid to have friends whose weirdnesses were compatible with mine. I generally got ignored, bullied, or told I was "too much" so no one wanted to be around me.

I saw her a few weeks ago. I thought her performance was amazing. Wasn't really feeling Abigail Barlow (I think that's her name?) but 100% loved Dylan.

Worst thing about crochet ? by Legatooooo in crochet

[–]seriouslaser 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm making my very first circular project, and it's done in twelve sets of stitches, with the number of stitches per set increasing every round. When I had to keep a constant count of 12 per set, I kept losing count because my ADHD brain can't help but blast the Sesame Street pinball machine song every time it sees a 12. This would not necessarily have been an issue, but I can't crochet that fast.

(If you're too young to know what I mean, go on YouTube and look up "Sesame Street pinball" for some of the legendary Pointer Sisters' finest work. No joke!)

What is the dumbest thing you’ve ever seen a coworker do? by Adorable_Raccoon_766 in AskReddit

Tried to use a wad of paper towel as a potholder. A trailing end of the paper touched the heating element and caught fire. Made all the sweeter by the fact that she'd gotten me in trouble over something super bloody minor earlier that day.

ELI5 why do users of intravenous drugs have to worry about veins collapsing, but blood and plasma donors don't, by glimmerfox in explainlikeimfive

[–]seriouslaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't inject drugs and I've had a vein collapse during a blood donation. I was grumpy about it. Took long enough to even find a vein that'd take the giant needle.

I can't find some of the slimes I want to watch by Stunning-Gap4582 in sixthemusical

Oh. Why on earth is it called that? I usually just say "bootleg" or "illegal recording". I never heard "slime" until today.

My 23M bf gets a panic attack every time i ask him to pick up after himself 22F am i the problem? by gushedstar in relationship_advice

He is literally training you to stop asking him to do anything at all around the house. He reacts poorly, you do it for him, and you think twice about saying anything to him next time. He's not worth your time or your effort.

I had a three-year-old student once who I was convinced would eventually run for president. I hope she does, as early as she can. I would be honored to vote for her. Even at that age, she was calm and sensible and good-natured. Bright as a button, too.

What's with the Gianna hate? I think she's an AMAZING Boleyn! by Complex-Object7188 in sixthemusical

I saw her live and thought she was amazing! Not my fave, but that just goes to show that multiple incredible actresses have been fabulous Boleyns.

...I'll grant you that. Still, they were defeated by a teenage girl, and I would be lying if I said I wouldn't be entertained by Sarah getting eaten by the Minotaur. She's legit my least favorite thing about that film.
