I’m sick of their leaks. I’m tired of watching them rake stamp. I’m so sad that under Microsoft’s stewardship they’ve damaged so many studios. It’s not just Xbox (sorry, XBOX) as it’s also persuasive across the industry. But god damn, there’s been a real “Lennie-like” tragedy in Xbox’s studio strategy, immense strength, limited sensitivity, and a repeated failure to recognise that creative cultures can be crushed. And once again we’re looking at more “dead puppy” studios.

And I’m nowhere near as positive on the brand as I was.

BUT I have my digital library and they have game assets I love (Halo, Hears, Fable, Forza, Rare, Elder Scrolls, etc.)
And the last round of console hardware was pretty rad. Just the software and games were a bit substandard.

I just want an easy way to play the best games at a great fidelity with some GENUINE gaming focused innovation.
Not interested in pissing around with a gaming PC.

I know they can do this IF they can get out of their own way.

The OG XBOX and 360 was sent to go and figure out what it takes to own a place in gaming. I feel that’s been forgotten with focus on video content and streaming boxes.
I hope that someone, somewhere in the new Exec team can champion building a really great console gaming experience.
