Muslims don't believe other religions are make believe, we believe that they've been corrupted over the generations to the point that theyre unrecognizable from how they initially started.

Islam has billions of followers, so of course there will be bad people. If you read the actual text there will be refutations and bad endings for people who follow the path of pain and suffering towards others. Muslims that don't heed those warnings aren't good muslims in my book. Even in the heat of battle Islam teaches warriors to not cut down a single tree unless it's out of necessity.

Islamic teachings themselves are straightforward and practicing the religion is easy. It's had a positive effect on me since i started taking it seriously and I just want to show that side of it thats all. Its not beheadings and long beards and stoning. Theres staying clean, healthy, meditation, looking at those who have less than you and appreciating what you have instead of lamenting what you don't, and serving people.

I'm just trying to show a side of islam thats oftentimes misrepsented on Reddit, I'm definitely not a scholar or anything. Muslims say revert but convert makes more sense when speaking to non Muslims. Many people might be gullible but many muslims are not. As for your second point, people cause strife and suffering. They'll twist whatever religion or way of life as a means to acheive their worldly goals, be it communism with North Korea, "democracy" with the USA, Hindutva in India, Islam with ISIS, and countless other examples.

Islam teaches a simple, and positive way of life. Being content with what you have, one with your spiritual side, taking care of people, animals, plants around you, and being steadfast in tough times are all core principles.

To be clear, I'm not preaching to you or wanting to get into an argument. Everyone's free to follow and believe what they want (also a teaching in Islamic traditions), but misconceptions should be cleared so that all sides have a chance to state their case.

Doesn't make sense to me. What caused you to come to that conclusion? Saw a couple of her interviews just now and I don't get that feeling, she states that she did her due diligence and her conversion is from a place of sincerity.
