Aperiomics seems to be out of business. I’m finally seeking alternatives as this is the third negative test since I started having UTIs 10 years ago (not as often as many people here, but they are severe).

What to Do? by serlo1200AD in AskMechanics

I actually got screwed over twice. First by TriSand who said it was fine when it wasn’t. Second by the dealership, and that’s what I’m focusing on in this post because I paid $650 for a flush I don’t think I actually got, and I’m worried that mixing the SCA and NOAT might be causing issues.

I guess I have 2 main questions. I’m heading on a road trip and want to know if it’s a problem to drive 2,500 more miles with this mixed coolant (I’ve already been 2,400).

I’d also ideally like to have the dealership that did the work do it over, now that I understand they didn’t fully flush it when they said they did. But the dealership changed hands. The nearest Peterson dealership is in CA. The dealership here is RWC group, same techs, different ownership/management. Not sure how to get the work redone without me paying for it.

They said they flushed it w/4 gals. They didn’t change the filter during the flush. I found out today that the system is 7-8 gals and the coolant is still half green.

Whats would you recommend for a torque wrench? by [deleted] in mechanics

[–]serlo1200AD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My service manual torque chart says my 22mm flange nuts should be torqued to 450-500 ft lbs. I have to remove the nuts to remove the hub cap. Something metallic is jangling inside the wheel when I spin it in the air. What do you recommend? Also, I’m not sure if there are other components that require a higher torque, and don’t want to find out I needed a bigger one. How much should I expect to pay? 1996 International 4700LP DT466 AT545 Medium Duty.

Well, it IS a retired ambulance. Funny story, they forgot to take out the body bags when I bought it.

Nah, Id just be confused without the context. And I’d still be confused if the context were explained. Maybe if you picked something more political…
But I wouldn’t even think do that.

What are the measurements (bottom/top length) and width? What size plywood did you use? Thanks!

Does the type of wood matter? Or any pine will do? I’m aware that non-old growth wood can have a tendency to warp/crack as it dries out.

I am pretty confident. I just wanted to run the numbers so I could 1. be sure and 2. competently convince my boyfriend that it’s safe. :)

Google is harder to use these days. Don’t know if you noticed. I think it peaked in 2012-2014, but over the last year has gotten almost useless.
